Hello!

My name is Dennis (29) and i'd like to run Hoard of the Dragon Queen for the third time. 

Game: D&D 5e
Group preferred: Online (Foundry VTT and Discord) (no purchases of software or books required)
Experience:  a few years as a DM and as a player.
Location/Timezone: Western Europe (GMT +1)
Availability: Tuesdays from 19:00 to 23:00 (sessions being once every 2 weeks) This Campaign will start in July-2024.
Preferred role: I will be the DM
Game style: My DM style focuses on Exploration, Combat, some Puzzles and mild Role-play. 

I am looking for a  group of 3-4  new players to do a campaign i have run twice before.

For party balance we are looking for an equal measure M/F players.

What is in it for you?

You will be thought the basic mechanics of Dungeons and Dragons. We will hold a session 0 to discuss what we can expect from one another. 

While playing with this group you gain access to (most) Books on D&D Beyond trough me sharing what i have.

I will be available to help you with everything you need to play D&D from creating your character, to backstory, to role-play advice. 

Please note that you do not need to buy anything or spend any money for these sessions.

What is in it for me?

I get to hone my skills as a DM and play a game that I really like and am trying to perfect :)

Some things to keep in mind:

I use the standard rules for D&D. However every DM has some home table rules. 

When creating your character i'll always allow everything that can be found in The Player Handbook, Tasha's Couldron of everything and Xanathar's guide to Everything. 

Minimum age to play with my group is 18 due to the themes that can be discussed. 

Foundry VTT is an online platform for playing Tabletop games online it requires a stable internet connection and a decent PC / Laptop.

After the 30th of April we will pick 4 Players to run the Campaign with starting in July 2024.

We will also pick 2 players for "The Bench" in case One of the Players Backs out after the first few Sessions.

I've always enjoyed fantasy settings and story-rich games or movies and would like to try getting into it from a different perspective
I enjoy games, especially story-rich games, because they're like reading a good book but being able to write your own character and make your own choices. Re-reading a great book but making different choices is also an amazing experience

I would like to join if at all possible, I might try to convince my wife but I think she's a little scared due to having no experience in D&D

• How much experience you have with D&D: Played 1 campaign on 3.5, played and DM'd Pathfinder on about 5 campaigns, played and DM'd 5e for 3 campaigns. My DMing is very bad, but my playing has always been enjoyed by DMs.
• Why you would like to play: Played a lot in various groups before covid, but then everything changed when the pandemic attacked. Life got in the way and any time I try to play with friends, they expect me to DM which is not my strength or something I enjoy. I very much enjoy creating stories and characters and roleplaying them out, trying new experiences. I aim to be flexible with group roles so willing to try almost any class/race combo, and I prefer fun and flavour over finding the broken mechanics.
• What you enjoy most about games, Exploration, combat, role-play, puzzles etc.: I enjoy exploration, intrigue, some roleplay (I like doing silly accents, much to the annoyance of one or two previous players), love puzzles, and I'm happy with combat.
