Who am I: Hey there, I'll be your DM for this campaign. I am Penguin A 24M year old aviation Mechanic/nerd. I have been Dm and playing 5e ever since it came out. my start in D&D all started when I was dragged into the world of Drama and became a theater person. since that event long ago, I have been loving the feeling D&D gave me. I've been running games for long term sessions pretty much from the beginning. My longest being 4 years. So I am not new to the long term game at all. I welcome new and old player alike.

Destern, once a small island nation, fell under the dominion of the Destern family through a history stained by the atrocities of genocide, which occurred 570 years ago. Despite this dark past, the nation has since evolved into a complex political entity, divided into seven distinct sections.
Within Destern, six of these sections are governed by appointed lifetime leaders, who serve as close advisers to the ruling Destern family. However, at the heart of the nation lies the seat of the Destern family's power, where they exercise full authority over each section. This centralized control ensures the family's dominance over the nation's affairs.
Despite its troubled history, Destern maintains its significance on the world stage due to the presence of rare gems that grow within the mountains of the land. These gems possess extraordinary magical properties, providing a significant boost to magical abilities and serving as potent energy sources. This invaluable resource contributes to Destern's standing within the global community and enhances its influence in various spheres.
( the game will be a open world sandbox style based in this nation. there will be many different style of themes that will go on and take part. so really it is open a lot. As of now the party is in a horror mystery setting)
