Myself and two friends are getting back into D&D this month after a long hiatus. We're taking a workshop and creating characters at it. My dumb newbie question is: How is play orchestrated when you hook up with a DM and players through this forum? Is it through Zoom?
My group uses Discord for voice, DND Beyond for character sheets, and Foundry for battle maps and stuff like that. Those things are decided by the person hosting the game (DM/campaign organizer), so other people might do it differently.
My group uses Discord for voice and campaign discussions. DND Beyond for character sheets and maps. In my experience, it's usually the DM who decides where they want to host the sessions and how they want to run it.
Hi All,
Myself and two friends are getting back into D&D this month after a long hiatus. We're taking a workshop and creating characters at it. My dumb newbie question is: How is play orchestrated when you hook up with a DM and players through this forum? Is it through Zoom?
Any replies appreciated!
