Game: D&D 5e Group preferred: Online Experience: A few years of Pathfinder(2012-2015), new to 5E (Few One Shots, Two Short Campaigns)but wanting to get more experience Location/Time-zone: US Mountain Time (MDT) Availability: 6 PM-?(Willing to play late) (4PM PDT/8PM EDT) Preferred role: Player Game style: Looking for a casual campaign with an experienced DM. Would like to sit in on a game before joining to get to know the group. I enjoy campaigns that aren't extremely linear, but I enjoy a clear path forward. I tend to find myself wanting to explore the details of a story or a setting and will happily take on a side quest before committing to a long arc. I also prefer online games as I feel the resources are more accessible. I have a subscription to DnD: Beyond but I'd be willing to invest in other services like TaleSpire if need be.
What I Bring to the Virtual Table:
By nature I'm a creative individual which I know is not lacking in this community, but I tend to invest a lot of my skills in my campaigns. I like to illustrate characters, help people develop their concepts, etc. I am a jack of all trades artist and I think that makes me a nice asset to any campaign. I invest highly into my character's identity and prefer to speak as them. Often losing myself in the act (forgetting what my character just said lol). I have some skill in voice acting and voices in general. I like to bring a sense of excitement and passion to everything I do and my DnD characters are no exception.
Experience Cont.:
My two character's have both been Goliaths, one a Barbarian and the other a Fighter. Not very diverse, but the reasoning behind them is mainly due to the gaps in time that I've played. I've only really played One Shots for family gatherings. Which can be fun but I've felt the itch for a more stable and consistent campaign. Without having a setting for a long term playthrough I just tried to fill the role of being a meat shield for my friends and family. I think this has also stunted my desires to expand on my character's identity and personality for fear of judgmental players at the table.
Thanks for Reading
If you've read this far and think I might be a fit for your table please feel free to reach out. I'd love to get to know more people in the community without the expense of driving, catering, and physical paraphernalia.
