     Greetings! Welcome to the World of Rishalda, a Homebrew Setting with nearly a decade of development and a DM at the helm who is excited to share it with the community. Rodonyo is a seasoned DM who has run multiple multi-year campaigns and brings a team of veteran cast members that will further entrench you into this world of mystery. Without further ado, allow us to set the scene.

     Your blade stands at the ready as a troll bounds toward you. Your ally whispers an incantation as the ground rumbles, encasing your foe in roots and vines. The forest falls silent around you, as the dark canopy settles once more over your hopelessly lost party.

     The winding streets and alleys of an urban metropolis make for an excellent escape as you make off with the local lord’s dubious records. With this, you can prove to all the corruption that lays at the heart of this society, and take an excellent payout in the process.

     You teleport into a quiet, dark room. You shamble around in the dark looking for a wall, but no matter how far you walk none can be found. You see a shimmer in the dark, perhaps a smile or the crescent moon. You find solace knowing you are not alone, until it flies at you with alarming speed, mouth agape.

     Your story begins here. In this Homebrew Setting, nothing comes before the story that you want to tell. Forest survival? Political thriller? Eldritch horror? In this world you will journey into an adventure unlike any other. The world is cracking at the seams, opening the door for adventure at every turn. This setting is open to you and your party, allowing you to entrench yourselves in any aspect of this world that you fancy. Discover a new setting with familiar faces that will surprise you at every turn. Uncover mysteries and learn the secrets that have been safeguarded for a thousand years. Develop a character who will grow and change, having the chance to affect this world for better or for worse.

     Whether you are a veteran player with years of experience, or a new player excited to see the magic of D&D, in this world you will find everything you are looking for and more. Work with your Dungeon Master to write a character dripping with connections to this world, or pick from one of the many pre-generated characters with backstories that will take you on the journey of a lifetime.

     This Thursday, venture into the city of Badihr. Built amidst the peaks of Rhovalda's mountains, this megalopolis uses tunnels and walkways to connect the city's various districts. Recently conquered by the Catalan Empire, the occupation has completely disrupted the city's balance of power. A massive wave of crime spills out onto the streets daily, as gangs vie for control of territory while the imperial garrison turns a blind eye. 

     The party finds itself in the city on the invitation of one Jeph Ogulba, a Drow whose anti-imperial sentiment resonated with our adventurers. With the offer of work and a hefty cut, the party is chomping at the bits to make some fast cash and perhaps make a worthy ally in the process. 

     As our adventurers entrench themselves in the complex criminal underworld, what consequences will follow? Join us Thursday at 7pm EST, join our party and discover the mysteries that lie hidden in the streets of Badihr.

is it alright if i just type in the discords chat or is mic require? i have one but i would highly prefer not having to use my voice.

A mic is required, unfortunately. There are many listings on StartPlaying for Play-by-Post campaigns where you can play solely through messaging, but this campaign does require a mic in order for fast communication and roleplay.
