Game: D&D 5e Group type: Online via Discord and Roll20, Voice required, video optional Experience: Welcoming new and experienced players Location/Timezone: CDT. Schedule: Sundays or Tuesdays at 8:30PM CDT. This will be every other week starting with a session 0 once the party is filled. Roles sought: 4-5 players Game style: I will be starting a new campaign at level 1. I like to play a good mix of Roleplay, Combat and Exploration. I have two options in modules to play depending on player interest. Critical Role: Call of the Netherdeep. This is more of a streamlined linear story campaign that will take players from Level 1 - 12 I have some added side quests . The second option is Odyssey of the Dragonlords. A Greek mythology themed campaign with a mix of linear elements and character exploration. This runs from Level 1-20.
About Me: I am a dad with two young boys age 4 and 1.5. I have been playing Dnd for about 3 years now. I began as a player and was hooked instantly. I began running games shortly after. I have partially run Call of the Netherdeep in person and also in play by post format. I also am currently running Odyssey of the Dragonlords in a play by post. I will give more info on each module once the party is decided and we can decide which one we want to run.
I have never run a virtual campaign so there may be some technical difficulties at times but we will figure it out.
I occasionally do voices but it is not my strong suit so don't expect much on that front from the NPCs.
What I'm looking for in a player: Looking for other parents out there who want to play a casual game every other week and just have some fun after the kids are asleep. I don't mind if you have 30 years experience or none, I am just looking for some other parents to hang out with and play Dnd. I would also prefer that you have not played or read through the campaign module before.
To apply just tell me a little about yourself, your experience with Dnd and what kind of player you are or character you want to play. You can reply to this post or send me a message on discord @drcornwallis
Also a father looking to get back into the game after a hiatus - 2nd edition!
To be fair, I played a game the past few months of 5e, so I'm familiar with it.
I'm in EST, so a 9:30pm game for me would work great. Tuesdays would be better, but not completely opposed to Sundays.
My discord: rth1976
As for characters, I have a few... mostly Frontline warriors. But don't want to delve too much into them publicly. I'll share specifics with the potential DM!
Is this still open? This sounds perfect to start with. I've never played true DnD before, just the old PC Baldurs Gate 1&2, which have always been on my top list of favorite games. Stumbled upon Critical Role content recently and I've been binge watching it ever since.
34, father of 2, so Sundays 830 CDT (930 for me) would be perfect after everyone's wound down in the house. Don't have discord yet but should be easy enough to get set up.
As for kind of player I am, not too sure, this would be my first time. I'd like to think regardless of my character, I'd look for chances to get involved without trying to dominate the spotlight. Would maybe take a couple sessions to get familiar with it all though.
I wouldn't mind running an evil character, but probably not for my first campaign. I'd probably keep it simpler to start, good aligned. Probably ranged. I like loot but I wouldn't be a murder hobo.
Let me know if you're still taking people please, I'd love to join, and I'll figure out the discord part.
I am very interested! I am a 33-year-old mom of four and I have been playing dnd for three years and this sounds right up my alley if you still have openings. Sundays would be perfect for me! I am a very laid-back player and I have character ideas but really would love to play whatever balances out the party :) I've wanted to play a barbarian Aasimar but like I said I am not set on any one character. I have played in a Curse of Strahd campaign as a half-elf druid and in another campaign as a satyr bard so I just like switching it up sometimes!
I'm interested in playing this game if it's available.
I'm 39, dad with a 12 year old at the moment and looking to adopt another if possible. I've played D&D off and on since I was a teen and always enjoy playing when I get the chance. I've used discord, fantasy grounds and roll20 to play virtually, so any system works fine with me. I wouldn't be able to make it on Sundays but I could due Tuesday evenings. Eight thirty central would work well, but I could also play as early as seven.
As a player I enjoy roleplay as well as combat and intrigue, so a good mix makes things interesting. I've always played or run family friendly games so am not into anything questionable. I enjoy keeping things moving and so make sure I have my turns ready, don't purposefully derail campaigns, or go around acting like a murder hobo or loot goblin.
I have a couple of cool character ideas I'd like to run but haven't had the chance yet. Tortle rage monk/tank - ninja turtle style character, undead hunter paladin (never tried a paladin before), mimc posing as a warforged, or other crazy hijinks. I'd make sure to run character builds by the DM before implementation. I do like to build OP, but only in one aspect (really strong, tough, smart, AC build, etc) and they all have weaknesses of course so that they can't steal thunder from the rest of the group since that makes the game less fun.

Thank you for your interest. I am currently no longer looking for players. If somebody drops I will check in for a replacement.
Thanks for getting back to me though. :)
