Dragon Heist into Dungeon of the Mad Mage or an equally well-developed level 1-20 adventurer. This character is from an Out of the Abyss campaign I am in, but I want them to be a part of a fresh story!
Disguise: Once a cute teddy bear it is obvious this child's toy was long ago discarded by its owner. The stuffing inside has burst through the seams and there are a few stains on its fur.
True Identity: I am an amorphous being with no typical shape. In the presence of other folk, I may adopt a similar shape, but there’s little chance of mistaking me for anything else other than a plasmoid. I am a translucent, but my color may vary depending on what I am digesting at the time or on occasion I might choose to purposefully dye myself for fun. I don’t have internal organs of the usual sort. Instead, my body is composed of cells, fibers, plasma-like ooze, and clusters of nerves.
Custom Background: Dungeon Dweller
You grew up in a dungeon no doubt built by some mad mage who trapped you there as an infant to protect it from adventurers; however, you caught the adventuring spark yourself and escaped!
Background Skills: Stealth & Survival
Background Languages: Deep Speech & Primordial
Background Feature: Bad Reputation
No matter where you go, people are afraid of you due to your reputation. When you are in a settlement, you can get away with minor criminal offenses, such as refusing to pay for food at a tavern or breaking down doors at a local shop, since most people will not report your activity to the authorities.
Background: Although the Gelatinous Cube I was spawned from was born in a dungeon in the Underdark is aware that they were given birth through some mad ritual involving Juiblex the insane deity of oozes who seeks to slowly consume everything they have with no inkling of how they actually came into existence. At first, the Gelatinous Cube I was spawned from willfully and eagerly assumed their role as protector of the dungeon they were summoned to stalk but as time in the lonely depths of their home progressed, they grew tired of engulfing and consuming every adventurer who crossed the threshold. After a sudden earthquake shattered the dungeon of their birth, they were released into the Underdark, and it was not long until they crossed paths with an adventuring party. Confused by the sudden loss of their home and somehow briefly given the ability to speak through the power of Alchemy the Gelatinous Cube which spawned me agreed to divide off a portion of itself in order to travel with them and thus I was spawned into existence as an independent entity. During my time with this party of adventurers I began to observe those who were once my prey more intimately and found them to be quick friends. As a result, my personality underwent a profound change as I greatly enjoyed my new life as an adventurer. After parting ways with them instead resuming the lifestyle of a frightening horror once more, I chose to take my destiny into my own hands and become an adventurer myself! Juiblex is powerful enough to haunt my soul with their madness but my desire to be an adventurer who sets their own path in life has given me the willpower to stave off the madness of Juiblex - at least for now.
Personality: I put no trust in divine beings, and I don’t run from evil. Evil runs from me.
Ideal: I’ll stop the evil haunts me or die trying. (Any)
Bond: There’s evil in me, I can feel it. It must never be set free.
Flaw: I am a purveyor of doom and gloom who lives in a world without hope.
Organizations: None
Allies: Big Pharma, a party of adventurers who found me in the depths of the Underdark. The Alchemist in the party of adventurers adopted me for a time before setting me free. It was their noble hearts that changed me in a profound way, and it was by observing him that I gained a proficiency with Alchemist tools (Monk Class Feature).
Enemies: Juiblex, although they are my patron and I believe in them I also feel that they have become corrupted and unnatural which ultimately is their hubris. I know the power of this primordial evil who birthed me when enticed through a magical ritual is far beyond my own, but I am determined to resist the madness of the Unspeakable.
Starting Equipment: Instead of Starting Equipment or Starting Gold I took a Talking Doll (common enchanted item) as a disguise in order to join a party since as an ooze (plasmoid mechanically) I am typically a kill on sight sort of creature. I expect the party will quickly deduce my true identity, but I didn't really want any equipment and I figured this would be a fun way to be introduced to the group.
The Talking Doll has the Six Pre-recorded Phrases:
Hello
Yes
No
I need to rest.
Help!
Goodbye
Special Notes: I grow in height and weight at each level from a small into a medium sized creature. My planned eighth level feat of Tough will symbolize the size transformation.

Starting Size: 2'2" & 10lbs, Small Creature
Maximum Size: 8'0" & 500lbs, Medium Creature
Addition Note:To clarify the "Disguise" the character soaked themselves into the porous stuffing of the Talking Doll displacing 1 inch of stuffing. They are essentially wearing it like clothing, or a disguise and they use the pre-recorded messages to disguise their voice so their native dulcet as an ooze wouldn't be detected. There are several reasons there might be a walking Teddy Bear in the Realms maybe a wizard transported an aspect of themselves into it in order to conduct their business from afar or something similar but generally the idea is people are less likely to immediately attack a teddy bear than they would an ooze.

I got the Archologist background and figured it made more sense since I am trying to play a dungeon creature instead of a bad guy. Still looking for a party too if anyone is interested in picking up a dungeon slime.
I have two campaigns starting up in a couple weeks I'm pretty open with the races I allow my players to play. The two games are paid ones though. Let me know if you are interested and if not I wish you the best finding a campaign

Thank you, but I am not interested in a paid game. I hope they go well for your players too!

I'm super confused about this whole post, I wish you the best. You might as well be a dungeon master and make this an npc.

Well, sorry to say this but your character will likely never see it in anyone game ever, depending if it has a price tag on it.
That is not only hurtful for no real reason but also horrible sentence structure.
