Campaign Synopsis
Elturgard is known far and wide as a gods-blessed land of chivalrous knights, virtuous citizens, and devout belief. For nearly 50 years, the city of Elturel has lived in a golden age of safety, prosperity, and piety. Things are not all that they seem, however, as events are in motion that will not only shake the nation to its core, but the Realm at large. To avoid a catastrophe that will change the very nature of the Planes themselves, heroes must brave terrible dangers and uncertain alliances as they navigate from the blessed lands of Elturel, to the treacherous streets of Baldur's Gate, to the screaming depths of the Nine Hells itself.
About Me
Hello all, my name is Pax (Cody) and I'll (hopefully) be your new game master! I've been running games regularly since 2008, but really sharpened my skills when I started GMing for Adventurer's League in early 2015. Since then I've run at least two games a week with many successful campaigns along the way. I have a wealth of experience taking established modules and tweaking them to run more smoothly, better invest the characters in the narrative, and expound on the content for a more dynamic and impactful story. If you're looking for a reliable GM with a strong grasp of the rules, experience with large groups, enjoys teaching new players, and has a fondness for emergent storytelling, look no further! https://startplaying.games/gm/paxvale
Why pay to play?
Many of us have had the experience of signing up for a new campaign, whether it be online or in person, and it's either full before you get a chance to sign up, poorly managed, or only lasts a handful of sessions before either the GM or the players lose interest. Having a paid GM avoids a lot of those hassles. Paying for games creates a financial incentive, for both players and GMs, to make sure that everyone shows up, on time, and ready to play. I also provide access to my D&D catalogue for all of my campaigns and do my level best to make sure that everyone walks away from my sessions having had a great time.
The party is on its way to Baldur's Gate after narrowly avoiding being caught in the destruction of the holy city of Elturel! You must lead a caravan of survivors through the dangerous wilderness while trying to piece together the mystery of how Elturel was destroyed and who could have been behind it. Come join in the fun, tonight at 6:30 CST!

Two players have joined in, so hopping in now would be the perfect time, right before session zero!
