Game: D&D 5e or D&D 3.5 Group preferred: We'll be together; GM on computer Experience: New Location/Timezone: EST -4, PST -1, (Alaska) Availability:
Monday - Wednesday: 5:00pm - 10:00pm
Thursday - Saturday: 6:30pm - 10:00pm
Sunday: 9:00am - 10:00pm
Preferred role: Player(s) Game style: This will be a family game including myself, my wife, our 12 year old daughter and our 8 year old son. The kids are pretty mature for their age, but we will still need to state some boundaries. Equally important is the fact that none of us have played before. We might need 3-4 session 0's to get off the ground, so a GM with patience is paramount; preference given to those who routinely work with children in this setting. In spite of our lack of experience, we're excited, committed, and ready to get rolling!
The goal is to work with a GM in a campaign that allows each of us to play a character that matches a style we like and that also allows each of us to contribute equally so everyone has fun. We're dealing with kids who have incredible imaginations, so creativity is paramount. This won't be easy, but we understand that and we're willing to be patient, as well, as we figure things out. I apologize in advance if the 8 year old wants to be a spellcaster; but should that be the case, we're hoping to find a GM who encourages it and looks forward to the additional challenge of teaching those aspects of the game to a child. The kids are smart; they'll be able to understand it, it'll just take them a little time to get some experience and they've gotta start somewhere.
I know it's a left field request, but we're really hoping to find someone to spend a few years with now that they're both old enough to enjoy stuff like this. Even though I've never played any TTRPG's and this is new to all of us, I really like the Dragonlance series (I've read them off and on for 30 years) and everything about Krynn and that timeline, so I'd love it if we could also find someone who's up to speed on that lore and could make this whole thing happen in that setting. All said, however, we ARE flexible, in spite of how much detail is laid out here in this post. We're open to suggestions and recommendations. The experience is the important part for us, so we're more interested in finding the right person than the right campaign, so to speak.
I'd love to have conversations with any serious DM's who think they could provide this unique experience for us. Please DM me here.
I would be interested in DM for you and your family. I would charge $20 per session per player. I have the patience to guide new players and kids through a DnD campaign.
My available times are:
Tuesdays, Thursday 6:30-10:00PM
Sunday: 10:00AM - 2:00PM
For your family I would recommend Wild Beyond the Witchlight or Dragons of Icespire Peak Modules.
Im open to run any module that you are interested in.
Hello! My name is Shyann and I would be thrilled to guide your family through a D&D adventure. I have experience running public games where little ones have participated, and I was a summer camp counselor and after school tutor for a few years after graduating high school. So I do have some experience practicing patience with kids, but it's been a few years lol!
I recently completed a campaign set in a Neverland, where the narrative dynamically evolved based on the characters developed by the players. I could offer you a campaign in this setting and retell a new story within the world, customized for your children's experience. You can see an example of the Neverland game listing at the following link. I am not currently running this campaign publically, but could work with you to find the most convenient time for a private game. Unfortunately, I am not very familiar with Dragonlance lore and my focus is more on whimsical realms as a game master. I am also in the process of launching 3 public campaigns that combine the settings of Hogwarts and Camelot in the medieval era. This game has been my primary focus lately and I am dedicating most of my energy and resources to this world setting right now. If this might be of interest to you, I could offer a private campaign in this setting for your family exclusively.
