If your new I'm happy to teach and run you through everything if needed also the players will have to bear with me since I'm a fairly new DM myself . I'm also willing to make exceptions if u want something in game as long as it makes sense. I've got a decent amount of stuff planned for the campaign all I need is character backstories and an idea on how to include them into the story. the story will be set in a high magic steampunk/gothic/fantasy large city in a long-term campaign. Right now we have a Barbarian, rogue, and fighter. We will be using discord for VC and Talespire and maybe FoundryVTT for combat. Mics are required.
On the world of Orrida lays a island that is referred to as the HelgForge and on that island is one of the largest cities in the world this city is called RivenDam known for its technological advances. The year is 5863 AHP there is many problems and turmoil's running through the city its dangerous and many people live in poverty while the high and mighty live lavish lives without worries, the ruler called "The Baron" is a very secretive person not many have seen there face and lived to tell the tale although not a unjust leader many people dont like them due to blaming him for the state of the city and the creation of the ACG (Automated City Guard) since he has been ruling for over 500 years after the last ruler died after unknown reasons, but that's not the reason for why we gathered a group of capable people to do a job we did it due to the alarmingly high amount of people that have been disappearing in the outskirts a very poor part of the city the furthest you can get from the center of the city without leaving its walls.
