I am planning to run a long term campagin (hopfully years) for DND 5e. The plan is to start at low level (1-3) and go as far as we can! I would like to start out fairly traditionally upto level 5-7ish then transition the story towards a more gothic theme for levels 6-10ish (vampires, undead etc etc) before branching out into all sort of planar fun at the highest levels (10+).

I try to make sure the world stays as open as possible so the story can really go in any direction the players choose to take it. The above is more of a guide. I like to make sure that the characters' backstories and choices are important and appropriately impact the world. It will contain a fairly even split of combat and RP, but again this depends on that session and up to the player choices. The world itself is a homebrew one of my own design with a standard range of biomes. It is certainly not fixed before the game starts so is flexible to accommodate characters and their backstories. There will be a session 0 for everyone to meet and discuss the campaign before we start.

I am happy to take players with a range of experiences and I have run for both beginners and long term players in the past. I am looking for 3-4 players to join a currently interested player for a total party of 4-5. I am open to homebrew though I prefer to keep that to items and spells (love spells!) over classes and races.

Planned session length is roughly 3-4 hours meeting weekly, in person, at my flat in Sheffield. Will be run in the evening (starting about 7pm) on a day that suits everyone.
