Hi, I am a DM for a group of players who are already playing bi-weekly on Saturday Evenings. The game we are playing is a Homebrew narrative that kicked off with the Castle Amber module. Our group is currently at level 5, and we are looking for a 4th member to join us after having another member drop out due to a change of situation and will no longer able to join us.
The premise of the game is that there have been disappearances surrounding a house that nobody has seen, in a town that nobody has heard of. It is about the exact weight of a living soul, and how many seek to replicate it. The journey Started off in Athkatla, as a group of adventurers received word that somebody they don't recall having met, was seeking their aid again in Waterdeep. Along the way they found themselves inside of a castle that itself, is at the heart of its own mystery. Seemingly without a way out, the party moved forward, determined to solve the mystery behind the curse of Castle Amber.
We play fairly loosely, and casually. I prefer for our session to feel more like friends hanging out and having fun, than a rules heavy slog - Mind you, we acknowledge the rules exist -. I am looking for the right player to fill our group that is looking to have some fun on a Saturday evening with us.
We Play using the DND Beyond Maps, utilizing maps I've designed on Dungeondraft (Mostly, I admit sometimes I get lazy or don't actually have the time). I know it isn't as fun as Roll20, or Foundry, but it's accessible. Additionally, we typically use Discord for voice/video (Video isn't necessary. I use it, but you don't have to so long as you have voice).
our group currently consists of: An Armorer Artificer, A Samurai Fighter , and a Path of Ancestral Guardian Barbarian.
If you are interested you can respond to me here or on Discord (My Username is DanFromHali) with the following:

The campaign, and where the group will be at the time you join will have a built in spot to pick up a new player, so we can make it as organic as possible. I will work with the picked player, on how to integrate their chosen backstory into the game.
For the record we play tonight, 07/13/24. So I am looking to have somebody join us for our next session on the 27th.
Hi, I'm Nate. I am new to D&D but I have played one campaign (2 years ago). My cousin was the DM. I watch D&D videos so I'm not entirely green, though no expert. I do own the players handbook and was studying it when i played my first campaign. I like the story telling aspect of D&D and having agency to effect that world and see where the story takes me. I have only played once and it was as a rogue, I am open to playing other characters but the rogue is what I know most of. For the combat to roleplay ratio, i think 2:1. On my first campaign it was more like 5:1 and i felt like i wanted to be able to do more than fight. Fighting is fun though. My favorite snack is probably cheese and crackers or just jerky.
hello i am very interested in playing i have 4 years' experience and would love to join in a campaign of this style. I'd be happy to join as organically as possible and further the story you guys are creating. [lease reach out on here or on discord :sherrilynn
I *loved* the original Castle Amber! Unfortunately, I’m already in a Saturday night game. However, the name brought back lots of great memories and laughs. If you run the campaign again, please ping me. Different DMs run it differently, so it would be a blast to see the flavor you add to the campaign! Have a great time!
So, we're actually several sections in. We ended our last session with Madam Camilla's Card Reading. I've definitely added a little flavor throughout. I played through it a few years ago and there were a few things I felt were a little underwhelming, as well as a few things that I felt were a little more overwhelming.
When I played this myself, I didn't realize how awful the module's layout actually was. We're playing from the reprint with the upper floor of the west and east wing. And my group has found three keys, without ever getting the "To Those Who Would Be Free" note, interacting with almost anybody, or even stepping foot in the East Wing.
I definitely threw in a lot more flavor, and I'll respond properly once the module is finished.
What Do You Like Best About D&D: Cutting loose in a fantasy world as a seeker of adventure!
What Do You Look For Most Out Of A Campaign: Fun and comradery
What Role/Class Do Yourself In If You Were To Be Picked: If I was ever to be transported to a magical DND world it would be mostly likely a Kender Ranger. For this campaign I was looking to play a Tortle Cleric.
What Is Your Preferred Combat:Roleplay Ratio?: 70 RP : 30 CB
What Is Your Favorite Snack? (Just go with it): Anything edible. Foodie. Give me the foods!

(Just go with it): colbi jack cheese and a whiskey drink to relax Discord UN: f_rank_hero
experience: played one one shot but have an understanding of the rules and mechanics due to a high interest in DND, but lack of actual game mechanic experience
Fav campaign: ig my one one shot I've done since I haven't really done anything else lol
want I look for in a campaign: I like the idea of high camaraderie while also being able to craft out a 50/50 of strong good story with our characters and fighting genuine playing. I like the idea of being able to create something with a group and have it be our own thing by the time we're done with it.
what role: I have a couple ideas but I would like to either play as a true paladin or as a monk/sorcerer, depending on the real needs of the party, leaning on the way of the paladin.
