Howdy y’all. Name is Keto and I’m a green DM looking to gather a long-term group for an Eberron game. We will use the Level Up: Advanced 5th Edition system (more info further down). It will be run in the Gestalt method. If you’re looking to roll some dice, roleplay and meet some new people, please commit to reading this whale of a post! All of it!

If everyone wants, we can play an extra hour.
The target player age is 20-30. We can be silly, but as long as we can be mature about important things, it is good.
The themes will include 18+ stuff (nothing weird though).
What is Eberron?
Arcanepunk, wide-magic setting.
Magic is industrialized and is widespread.
Most things are made and maintained by magic. Everyone knows about magic and lots of people can cast, at least, minor magic.
The continent of Khorvaire is still scarred as a consequence of a great war. In this war, a whole nation was magically wiped out.
Lots of innovation is possible thanks to people who bear Dragonmarks (even PCs can have them)
This setting is often mistaken for steampunk at a first glance. Feel free to consult Keith Baker’s blog for lots of useful info. Google is your friend too. You can ask me too. :)
What is Level Up: Advanced Fifth Edition?
A core system (not a homebrew) using DnD 5e as a foundation; building and expanding upon it to make it better and… more advanced.
Reworked classes and new classes.
Expanded character creation: specialties, cultures and destinies.
Three pillars of play are greatly affected so your character, no matter the class, can be effective in RP, exploration and combat.
More tools for the DM than 5e.
Very dedicated, passionate and relaxed 3rd party community that pumps out lots of great content very often.

What are Foundry VTT and Forge?
FoundryVTT is like roll20, but marginally better in nearly every aspect.
Forge is a website that hosts servers for Foundry VTT. Only the host (me) pays hosting subscription. I can help with learning the ropes if needed.
What is Gestalt?
You start with 2 classes and then level them simultaneously. Like multiclassing, but you get a level in each class during level-up instead of choosing one or the other. This allows you to use Synergy Feats earlier and try out some crazy combos.
WARNING: I have never done Gestalt before in any system. You probably have not played A5E so playing it with Gestalt may take some time getting used to. If you feel like you are not patient or interested enough to learn two classes at the same time, along with the system itself, Eberron and other stuff, PLEASE do not apply. This can be fun, but if you are impatient or cannot manage two classes, it’ll just drain you and make you bored. Again, please, consider this carefully.
Important details for joining/staying:
Communication. This is the cardinal rule for joining and staying in the game; you can expect me to abide by it and I expect everyone to do the same. Going to be absent/late? Communicate! Have an idea? Communicate! Need help with something? Communicate! Something bothering you? Communicate! If you cannot fulfill this, please do not apply.
Stable Sunday schedules. I expect that your schedule will be free on the appointed time. If you live a busy life, have a job, studies or otherwise something that happens in such a way that it would often make you absent/late, that it would make you too tired to play, leave sessions earlier or leave the game entirely, please do not apply. Holidays, sickness and other important things that happen every now and then are completely fine though.
Foreseeable stable schedules. Be sure that your schedule will stay free for the foreseeable future. Things can always change later, I know, but try your best to be informed in advance.
Commitment. I would like for the group to last for a while, at least. It is quite nice to be surrounded by the same friendly acquaintances rather than switching out often. If you are interested in committing and forming a long-term group of a few players, then it’d be good to have you. Maybe we will even make some friends. :)
Behavior. Be nice to one another; avoid discrimination, flaming, harassment or making anyone uncomfortable in any way. Do not bring sensitive real-life topics into the game (e.g. religion, politics, races…). Behaviors prohibited whether in or out of the character: sexual assault, torture and pedophilia. No player versus player is a default with reasonable exceptions. Generally, do not make others uncomfortable, please.
Characters. Joke characters, meme characters, murder hobos, pointlessly edgy characters without development, evil characters and such are not allowed since it breaks immersion and/or is poorly handled. Evil characters or edgy ones could be allowed once I get to know you so I know you can properly handle one!
Common sense. I may have forgotten to include something in this post; that could probably be filled in by common sense unless it is something very specific. If something vital seems to be missing you can include it in the application too.
Game details:
You are a licensed adventurer (could be something else, but it is a good start to get everyone nice and comfy with one another). So, we will work on what kind of adventurer you are making. :)
A wealthy noble by the name of Bastian Whitlock asks for aid. A precious relic from his prized collection has been stolen by ruffians. The relic, along with other valuables, was being transported from Cragwar to Wroat by land; guarded by, at least, a dozen well-trained guards. The ruffians have greatly outnumbered the guards by the village of Black Pit, defeated them and taken all the valuables. Reports say that the group withdrew towards the Black Pit. Bastian wants you to go to the Black Pit, secure his prized relic as top priority and bring it to him in one piece. The reward is a generous amount of 500 Golden Galifars (500 gold pieces); certainly an eye-catching amount considering it may require just defeating untrained bandits and retrieving an item…

There is no big measure on RP/Combat/Exploration value. I am a newbie so I lack confidence in focusing dominantly on 1 of these. I could estimate 60% RP (exploration included) and 40% combat, but it may change as the players prefer. :)
About me, my DMing style and flaws:
I tend to go by the nickname Keto. I am a simple 27-yo dude looking to meet some new people, maybe even make some new friends and have a lot of good times while doing so. I work a pretty standard job in a warehouse and my life is generally pretty calm and chill. I like to hang out with people and just chat away (though my life may be a bit boring to talk about XD ). I don’t use the Internet that much so I am not knowledgeable about pronoun stuff so just address me by ‘he’. XD
My style is still forming; I am green after all. Newbie to DMing. So far the style has been to focus on the player first. I love players succeeding, coming up with ideas, cooperating and roleplaying. I try my best to accommodate player ideas and wishes. Eberron allows for a lot of freedom compared to Forgotten Realms or similar settings so this is why I use it. I do not find your ideas and plans tiresome; I want to hear them out and try and get them to work. I know saying ‘no’ is important, but I try to approach with a ‘maybe, let’s see..’ first and actually accommodate things. It feels fun when everyone is having fun. :)
I enjoy seeing players go wild with ideas and actions; no need to feel shy about it.
I can improvise, but I am learning how to be much better at it.
My flaws are the following. I am a serial over-explainer (read the whole post above ;) ). I can stop myself mostly. Also I overthink a lot of things when it comes to games, which can be good, but also draining. I have the attention span of a trampled plastic bottle; I try my best to counter this by writing things down and setting alarms, but you’ll probably feel this. It mostly does not affect the games, but it grows as the late hours come in.
Sometimes I have a noisy environment. I live in a household where people do not care if you use voice chat so I have to mute myself if not speaking and sometimes I get distracted. So far, none of my other campaign’s players seem to mind. The environment rarely gets annoyingly noisy.
I am relatively new to roleplay, which will be noticeable. May require a tiny bit of time to figure out an NPC behavior or response in a given situation, so please be patient with me. :)

I'm super familiar with 5e rules and mechanics, fair bit of playtime in 5e settings. Used roll20 before but Foundry looks straight forward to me. Never played Gestalt but it sounds interesting not gonna lie. No Eberron or A5E experience to speak of.
What brought you to apply to this game?
I'm looking for a group for a long term campaign with character development, friendships, hardships and a solid story to be part of. Been trying for a while to find a committed online group, but sadly haven't had the luck of a longlasting group yet.
What are you expecting out of the game?
To have fun, really, what else can you ask for. I'm very open minded, love a good story, love to meet new people and see their minds create amazing characters, aswell as seeing an inspiring DM create a story they proud of.

My willingness is unparalleled, my availability is solid bar a few quirks this summer (mainly I'm getting married this August), depending on the times of the sessions I would do my utmost to attend, or the least prepare a solid RP reason if I really couldn't.

So I have extensive experience in 5E I started playing and DMing back when COVID first hit. I have some experience with Eberron’s setting as well, but in regards to the rest in quite new.
What brought you to apply to this game?
You application format is well done so I know you care about your game! It’s been awhile since I’ve been able to play a game since my last group just had scheduling problems lead to less playing. I’m ready and excited to play with and make new D&D buddies!
What are you expecting out of the game?
I mostly am just missing the mix of silliness and great roleplay that can come with fun, collaborative D&D. I love improv and at its heart that’s what D&D is all about, also I’m expecting to have some fun in the Everton setting! Wooooo!

About yourself: Not a huge amount to say really? I work part time, I'm also a carer for family. My free time is mostly spent playing games or playing DnD as those are a kind of escape, which really helps. I always wanted to play dnd as a kid but nobody was interested and this was before LFG's were a thing. Then during lockdown I started listening to some DnD podcasts and my interest in it grew, eventually joining a game around 3 years ago. Now I can't get enough =]
Your experience with DnD5e/A5E/Eberron/Forge/Foundry/Gestalt? About 3 years of DnD 5e, use foundry on the Monday game with the characters linked from dndbeyond. No experience with a5e or Gestalt, though I pretty much always multi-class characters because I like the odd synergy that can be achieved. And I've not played the Ebberon module, but am currently part of a game that's a homebrew "follow up" based in the Ebberon world. His last group played through Ebberon and this is the world changed by their actions.
What brought you to apply to this game? I was looking for a Sunday game to play after work hours, and this seems to fit the bill well. The Ebberon story is one I've not yet been able to actually explore, and the two class system seems right up my street since I enjoy regular multiclass in 5e. Though will need to learn the system and changed to classes and everything, and I expect it won't run through DnDBeyond so would need to get used to building a character in foundry.
What are you expecting out of the game? Fun friendly times with a group while we explore the story laid out infront of us.
How is your availability and willingness to commit for a long-term group? I'm free Sundays from 5pm GMT+1 as that's when I'm back from work, which would be an hour before your game starts.
How do you feel about playing under a newbie DM? I play a weekly game with a DM called Xero, he was a new DM when we started and I've been playing his game for about two and a half years now. Everyone starts somewhere and a new DM is better than an experienced DM who's locked into bad habits.
How do you feel about the ‘important details’ or any other details regarding the game or myself? Your "important details" are all valid points and are the basis of a great group, so if everyone follows those rules it should be great. Only minor concern would be about your attention span, but you say it doesn't hugely affect your play. So long as you don't go completely non-verbal/leave the table etc then that should be fine. And I'd need to learn more about a5e and the gestalt system, but if you can link me to sources then it's something I'd be wiling to learn.

Your experience with DnD5e/A5E/Eberron/Forge/Foundry/Gestalt? (none is needed, but I wanna know in advance) I started dnd a couple of months ago and ive been looking for honestly any campaign to join as im pretty familiar with the rules and just want to enjoy a good campaign :)
What brought you to apply to this game?: I really liked the description of the dming style and i think this would be a fun campaign, even maybe a longterm campaign!
What are you expecting out of the game? To have fun and explore more about my character and to connect with others over dnd. I wanted to mention that im sorry that im applying even tho im 16 however i really hope to be accepted into a community with veterans that i could learn from!

What brought you to apply to this game? I've started looking for a group more actively. Got into a few Westmarch servers but those feel more like a video game, not that much of a live world where your character's actions affect it.
What are you expecting out of the game? I have not that much expectaiotns to be honest, since i havent really played with strangers much. All in all a nice, chill no pressure atmosphere would be nice.
How is your availability and willingness to commit for a long-term group? I have a ton of time on my hands because of summer vacation, long-term is no problem (it's actually exactly what im looking for)

What brought you to apply to this game? I love the immersion and style of being able to lose myself into a character that I've created into a "god". It's always been an interest of mine but never had the ball's to join the community in fear of being set as an outcast.
What are you expecting out of the game? A lifetime of memories and fun. Meet some new people and experience a new world we and a group will create.
