"Ettelmorne-On-The-Water is a peaceful, albeit isolated, village. Encircled by rough, hilly terrain, it lies on the shores of a small lake, beyond which looms a mysterious forest. The small community has lived in relative peace for decades, but now strange creatures have been sighted in the woods, mysterious, unearthly howling echoes from the trees during moonlit nights, and the villagers have become concerned. The lord of Ettelmorne has sent missives to nearby towns, hoping to recruit aid. A small band of adventurers intrigued by the request have now reached the hamlet and are about to step into the lord’s office, ready to discuss their mission and compensation."


Hi, i am a GM with a few years of experience in 5e, and am looking for up to 2 players to join me and 2 players from one of my previous campaigns for a one-shot. The game is a 1st level adventure set in an isolated village and the surrounding forest, where players take up the roles of adventurers hired to investigate some strange happenings. You can expect a short and sweet game with a bit of action and excitement, and maybe a few shenanigans. I wrote this one-shot with a lighthearted, maybe even comical tone in mind, so that's what you can look forward to. We'll be using Discord for voice and Foundry as our choice of VTT. For character creation rules, all 5E material officially published by WotC is allowed, no class/race/other restrictions or bans, equipment will be starting gold, and character stats will be rolled (4d6 drop lowest, put the score in any ability you like). We won't be using any house rules or optional rules.

Requirements to join:
-Discord and decent microphone for voice chat.
-Being over 18 years old (not that the game will have explicitly 18+ content, its just were more comfortable around fellow adults).

What is not required:
-Any experience with D&D (new players are welcome)!
-Any experience with Foundry (it's free for the players, and can be connected to in any browser, however if you dont know how it works it'd be best if we found some time before the game and had a tour of the VTT).
