Game: D&D 5e Group preferred: Online Experience: Experienced over the course of a few years Location/Timezone: EST (Eastern Standard Time) Availability: Tuesdays | Thursdays | Wednesdays | Fridays | Sundays Preferred role: Player Game style: Casual, I don't really like hardcore or constantly fighting in each session or constantly having to RP every session either. Just something that has a little bit of both so I don't get bored of combat nor RP.
Heya, I am Dwarf, I am searching for a group to run in a campaign with since I am starting to not enjoy my other group due to reasons I rather not say in public because I don't want drama nor desire to ignite it. But I am looking for a group who accepts Artificers, a bit of homebrew, isn't strictly by-the-books, and someone I can hang out and have fun with and enjoy each session with. I am fun, try to learn what I can about the story and the way the DM wants to run it, will always ask if I can have this or do that, generally try not to make too much of a fuss over DM ruling, and try to always be active member engaging with the story however I can.
My favorite class is Artificer, and race, I generally enjoy Dwarves but I don't have a favorite yet because I haven't tried them all yet. What I might want to play is one of the 5 options I have thought would be kinda fun to play: - a Artificer Gunslinger who is deadly at range but isn't so much in direct face to face combat. - A dragonborn Barbarian who acts like a child and is a mute. - A pirate who is constantly drunk, loves to steal shiny things, and is clever and lucky enough to ALMOST get out of everything. (Yes I am thinking Jack sparrow, but come on, who hasn't saw the movies and thought 'I wanna play as him!' ;P) - A ranger who's goal is to find and tame a living dragon! - A mad doctor who experimented on those who he heals in the past and does his best to try and use technology and magic to become one of the best medics that can summon in help and grant buffs, debuffs, conditions, on anyone he chooses to help aid in his party's quest or goals.
As far as my history goes, I started out playing around roughly 4 or 5 years ago when I picked up on the roll20 using Dndbeyond to help me make characters and RP in groups. I will say, I sucked and my first character was basically GUTS from BERZERK. But time went on and I got familiar with the 5e rules and often would look to find unique characters to play that is both exotic, fun, and different than what most people pick (Meaning rangers who are archers, wizards who seek knowledge, paladines seeking glory for their gods, Bards who flirt all the time, etc.). I like to think of it as 'on the edge characters' like for instance:
a Artificer Gunslinger who is deadly at range but isn't so much in direct face to face combat.
I know guns and firearms are not a often commodity of the DM's world, and oftentimes the DM's fantasy world doesn't have that technological advancement yet. But, I am sure that there is a DM or two who will accept that style into their campaign and will love and work to make it fit. Those are the type of characters I enjoy running with, just because it's different than what most people are doing.
If you as a DM or a party feel like I am a good fit, please post in the comments/responses below your Discord Name, Who you are in the group, What the setting/Story is, And a bit about yourself and what you like to see in players during sessions both inside and outside of them.
