Game: D&D 5e Rules 2014 (Possible upgrade to 2024 rules later)

Cost: Payment is made AFTER you play 4 sessions. Roughly $11 USD or $2.75/session USD. Payment done on either: Buy Me a Coffee or E-Transfer (Canada only).
Why the small fee?
The fee is to cover the cost of subscriptions and services that I use to put together the best online game I can for my players. Although I do feel I offer a premium experience for my players, I do not DM for a living. I have a day job, and this fee does not cover all the time I put into the campaign. I do that part because I enjoy playing the game. For your fee, you get one 3 to 4 hour session every week starting at 6:30pm EST. Please note that due to scheduled vacations, emergencies or illness, I will miss the occasional sessions throughout the year.
What you will need to Play:
Foundry VTT
If you have not used Foundry VTT before, it will not be a problem, it is easy to learn. I use a high level of automation so you do less clicking and more playing. I also use top-down tokens, spell and weapon animations, interactive maps, visual aids, sound effects, music, etc… for the most premium experience I can give you.
Character Creation
We are starting at 3 level and character creation will be done in D&D Beyond and then imported into Foundry. I have most of the source books so, you should have lots of options for Character creation. There will be some restrictions on Races due to the setting and a few Sub-Classes for various reasons.
About Me
I played lots of D&D back in the day but have recently returned to the game after an extended period. I do not see the DM’s roll as a storyteller but more of a guide/referee. I describe what you see, how the world works and adjudicate the rules, you write the story! My style is pretty open, and I reward players for creativeness. I want the players to have a fun time exploring an exciting world and not get bogged down in the minutia of the game.

Veteren (15+ years) Player interested in joining! UTC -10 timezone so I’d be starting up at 12:30pm my time. Should work great for me. Sometimes I get scheduled on Wednesdays but I can swap shifts with others pretty easily so I’m not worried about making the weekly session 🤙🏼
- Grew up playing D&D with my dad and brothers, I’m 32 years old
- since I live in Maui, Hawaii I’m thinking online sessions are the best fit for me. UTC -10 timezone, preferably 06:00-13:00 my time, weekends are tentative
- I prefer campaigns and meeting times to be taken seriously, in respect to the other players involved and to the effort the DM is putting into providing a fun experience for the group. I like to play by the book and prefer black and white rules over a ton of gray area.
- I prefer to play but I am also an excellent DM if necessary.
