This campaign is about building up a port city on an isolated island to help with the sea travel of a nearby country. It’s difficulty will be quite hard in terms of combat and economy as no shops will be available for most of the campaign, but I’ve added a crafting system and a secret mechanic to the campaign that you will discover near the beginning of you’re journey.
The setting is apart of my homebrew world called Mallem(there is a LOT of homebrew you’ve been warned). Your character will be set at level 3 and the way you roll your stats is yours to choose as I trust my players being able to create their characters correctly (And your characters strength will set the bar for the encounters the whole party faces, so it’s on you if you’re min-maxing and the rest of the party is normal). You and the parties’ goal is to build the city from the ground up, protect it from what lurks on the island, and discover all the mysteries this island holds.
The campaign is open world (open island technically) and has a quest system to mark story and construction based progress. The leveling system is milestone and will use the cities progression as a reference. Due to the nature of the campaign while your character can have a backstory it will likely not affect the campaign much.
Background: In the northwest continent of Mallem, The Tonia Expanse, an ever growing country, have come in possession of a far away island after the previous owner, The Hafalmoa Kingdom, was destroyed by a currently unknown necromancer. The Tonia Expanse had then decided to gather people from all over to explore this isle and build a port city there as it would help with travel from country to country. You and your party have been designated as this new city’s protectors and explorers of this new isle. Your job is to defend the city from unknown threats and map out the island for resources for the city’s construction.
[Small note 1: I’m using monsters and mechanics from the Monster Hunter series in this campaign. If this makes you uncomfortable then please look elsewhere for a campaign to join. Why are they here? There is actually a lore reason for that.]
[Small note 2: I am looking for people who will be able to join the campaign without it affecting their daily lives, so if you think the schedule for the campaign will affect your work or sleep hours please look somewhere else.]
[Small note 3: In the case of you having to leave the campaign you are not obligated to leave the group and can stay and talk with us whenever. If you have to leave only temporarily (for example a couple months) you can always join back in on the campaign if you want to.]
[Bonus note: please look up what theater of the mind means before requesting to join if you do not know what it means.]
The campaign will be on discord and is named Withering Memento (don’t ask you’ll find out). If you are interested dm me on discord my username is agrimfish . If the post is still up I am still looking for players and if I do not respond in like ten minutes then I’ve found enough people, sorry.
the title cut off I’ll finish it here.
