My extremely handsome and cool friend and I are looking for a few players who just love the game of D&D, and roleplay, and would like to join a weekly or bi-weekly game, depending on general availability.
Deets:
Where - Roll 20, Discord for Voice!
When - Monday Evenings, we were thinking 6-10, or 7-11ish, (Eastern Standard Time) whatever works best for everyone, maybe sooner, maybe even later WE WANT TO PLAY AND WILL TRY TO ACCOMODATE, LET US DISCUSS.
Who - Myself (DM) I'm a wild and wacky kind of crazy person, I go by Chaos to my lads, but my real name is Caleb Matthias, you can call me Caleb or Chaos - and my friend Brian is the Abbott to my Costello, he has an extensive knowledge of the game but neither of us gets to play much. We both like roleplay, and I like a lot of comedy but also a lot of really dark themes. I think they go together well, like sweet and salty in caramel. I would describe my DM style as M. Knight Shyamalan but with more predictable twists, come on, I'm not a genius like he is. lol
What - I have cooked up a homebrew based in a cityscape setting where it is always nighttime ~ all character types welcome. Homebrew stuff by approval only, but I approve of anything that's roughly balanced and is just a flavor or quality of life thing. We're here to have fun, so have fun. There WILL be murder. There WILL NOT be sexual violence of any sort, nor threats of it, nor suggestion of it. HOWEVER, there may be sexual themes but nothing explicit~ we have a "fade to black" policy bout that sort of thing, so you can have your fun but I'm not going to describe it. Other n that, I feel the need to say that this one could get dark. We'd like some people who like to play and explore spooky, and dangerous, and morally gray, but who also remember we're all here to have fun.
Why (do I say that?) - I won't lecture you, but I would like any interested player to remember the balance~ You should enjoy engaging with other players, but don't always spoil their fun. Life happens, schedules conflict - but respect the other players' time, try to give notice of absence early, and try not to commit if you have to cancel most sessions. I want you to be emotionally invested in the characters, and the story, but it is just a game. It's not real, don't fight over it. The game can drone on at times, and it's easy to get distracted, but still it is polite to the DM and other players to pay attention. Sometimes it's boring because a DM or player has to keep repeating themselves. You can be confused, and even totally ignorant about some parts of the game (most of the game, if you're new, we give lots of grace), but it would be polite, to the extent that you're able to come prepared to a session knowing at least how your own character works, vaguely.
If YOU are interested in playing this game with us, I will be hosting a session 0 very likely this coming Monday (8/26/2024) where we can talk about it, if you're interested in being one of those people- GIVE ME YOUR DISCORD, and I would love to talk more deets with you later (you can direct message me, or leave it in thread, up to you)
Do you plan on using the new rules? Also is it always night everywhere or just this city? Sounds interesting. Would be me and my wife. 6-10 would be 5-9 for me so that would work best.
I have at least two and potentially a third that would be interested in playing, most likely 6-10 would be the easier time to manage. discord: oxycotton7089
Hi! I've played DnD before in high school, but it was 3.5 so I would be new to playing 5e. However, I've watched a lot of 5e campaigns online and played DnD based video games so I've gained some knowledge from that. Either time would work for me, as well! My discord is semper_crowe :)
I would be glad to join in with the chaos. I have only one and a half campaigns under my belt, but am ready to start again. Hit me up on discord: ProfLazy
If the rest don't pan out, I'm in! I'm still learning, but would not classify myself as a brand-new beginner as I've been playing for a year now. Thanks for considering!

New to DnD. I''m looking for my first campaign to join. I would need further information, but I would love to join.
