Fun fact: A bilby's dark fur lets it be virtually undetectable in dim light. They remain so still that some often confuse take them for stuffed decorations which works out in the bilby's favor, promptly scattering at the first opportunity.
Often called rabbit-eared bandicoots, these tiny foot-long furry rascals rummage through unattended packs for food and are often found in granaries orchestrating elaborate heists on grain and seeds. Some of the denizens of the land take Bilbys as pets, and some swear they are far more clever than they let on. All evidence to the contrary 🤔
Looking for 2 more players to start / 3 more players until full!
Fun fact: Desert travelers often take solace in sighting a Fennec Fox, taking it to mean water and food could be found nearby. There is a superstition that the Fox can provide a blessing if you give it the right kind of snack; what that might be is not really known, but this hasn't stopped people from trying. So far, none have returned blessed.
Fennec foxes are tiny canids that make their homes in the vast desert surrounding Zandri. Their huge semi-erect ears and wide eyes give them a disarmingly friendly appearance.
Looking for 1 more player to start / 2 more players until full!
Join now and meet the party as early as tomorrow by this time!
Fun Fact: Despite their appearance, the tiny wyvern-like Amphiptere is not particularly brave. This feathered and winged lizard puts on quite the show when threatened, exposing its clawed hind legs and whipping its spiked tail, but ultimately it will more often than not choose to fly away when confronted. When doing so it tends to leave behind precious feathers that are surprisingly resilient and which make for great decorations.
The Amphiptere is most commonly found as a flight of gold-crested, bat-winged lizards that prefer to live in packs, sunbathing in the desert, perched atop rocks that give them a height advantage.
Fun Fact: While ferocious and cunning when hungry, the Gbahali are otherwise solitary and somewhat shy creatures. Their huge crocodile-like form is imposing enough to ward away any interlopers, and their natural camouflage abilities help keep them from being seen by bigger creatures. A Gbahali can live for up to a week without water and they are natural sprinters, although they are quick to abandon pursuit if their prey proves too much trouble.
A large reptile with dagger-like teeth and a scaly hide of shifting colors, the Gbahali often strikes from close range with 1 swift strike.
Session 0 tomorrow night! Room for 2 players still
Join and start encountering all these lovely creatures I've been dropping facts about, and much, much more!
Fun Fact: Haunts come in many shapes and sizes but they universally share this: they are heavily influenced by how they died. This is very clearly seen in the case of Gray Thirsters. Remains of those who died of thirst in the brutal desert, Gray Thirsters seek to inflict the same fate upon others. Driven by a vengeful spite so often seen in undead, they possess the ability to desiccate entire areas, drawing moisture from the environment and the bodies of their victims. A terrible fate.
This dried-out body of a long-dead traveler is still clad in the tattered remains of his clothes. Skin as dry as parchment clings to the bones that are clearly distinguishable underneath. A hoarse moaning emanates from the dry, cracked lips.
Session 1 tomorrow night! Still looking for 1-2 players!
Fun Fact: Zandri has stood the test of time, tracing its origins as far back as 3000 years ago according to revered sources! From its humble beginning as a camp surrounding an Oasis that has long stopped being able to support the populace, it has grown to become a fortress that has seen two expansions of its city walls.
Zandri withstood numerous bloody conflicts and House Al-Qurashi proved that their heraldic words of "Against the Tides" are a true creed as they have seen to the defense of this city over thousands of years.
In the current age, due to advancements of technology, magical understanding and with the use of the divine magic of the Ilaah, Zandri has continued to grow at an unprecedented rate, sprawling ever onward from its outer walls into the desert expanse.
Curious to see the city? Check out the map I made!
Session 3 tomorrow night! Looking for 1 more player
The Party has been adventuring for 2 sessions now and is seeking one more player to join them! The group is comprised of a Human Monk, a Human Blood Hunter, a Tiefling Bard and an Astral Elf Sorcerer (who will depart when the party fills up).
So far the party has been on a roll within the Eastern Mahallah of Zandri, taking on odd jobs, surviving its many dangers and slowly carving a name for themselves. Things are about to take a sinister turn as they have encountered strange serpents that seem lifeless yet poised to attack. They have leveled up to lvl 2 and are well on their way towards level 3.
Join now and let the sands speak your story across the ages!
