Game style:
This is a mystery/horror-themed mini-campaign that will consist of 10-14 three-hour sessions. The focus of the mini-campaign is on exploration, puzzles, and combat (roughly in that order) with some scattered roleplay as well. I call it a mini campaign because it is an isolated adventure/story with a concrete objective, like a one-shot, but with a lot more to do and a much bigger arc than can be contained in a one-shot. Also, the backstory of the PCs may not play as much of a role in the story like they would with a regular campaign, but the story is still entirely dependent on PC choices. This mini-campaign was inspired by the Haunted Mansion ride at a theme park owned by a company that rhymes with Shmisney 🐭 👀. There have been several films based on this ride as well, but this campaign is inspired by the ride itself rather than the films, specifically the rides located in Orlando, Florida and Anaheim, California. Players can expect lots of references to the iconic visuals and general narrative of the ride, but with a fully unique story.
