Hey Icefox, I am not sure if this is something you'd be interested in, but i'll offer regardless and let you decide. I am part of a Discord based DnD community. We are a westmarch-style server, meaning that your character(s) exist in a nexus, from where they get to go to different DM's worlds on different kinds of adventures, meaning those characters get to experience lots of different settings and accumulate lots of different experiences and items as well.
