I'm 43 and I've got what I'd consider solid experience as a foundation. I don't consider myself anywhere near 'extremely knowledgeable' about rules and mechanics. I feel like I learn at least one thing every session I play. I'm self-employed and I work at home, so I have a pretty open schedule. I don't have many reasons to miss games. I don't clash with too many people unless they're outright rude, and I definitely don't try to be a rules lawyer. Everyone's here for fun. Rule of Cool is generally fine by me, though I really REALLY prefer no fudged dice rolls. I'm invested in my characters. But if the numbers say it's over, then I can be invested in a new one. I think fudged dice/low death games are my absolute least favorite concept. It's no judgement on folks who prefer a lighthearted approach and to keep their PC. We all have tastes. I play video games on Insanity difficulty. Sometimes you lose.
I'm open to most official modules as well as a lot of homebrew. The only homebrew I'm against is having OP weapons/skills/PCs. As far as availability, I really only have plans for a long-term game I've been in on Saturday nights. Other than Sat night (2100 EST), I'm open schedule as far as playtime.
ETA: I do have Discord if you prefer to contract there instead of messages. IAmGrunt
