Looking to play this character in a campaign before 2024 releases in hopefully something related to the Sea of Fallen Stars but really any adventure is okay. I am in my 30s and a vet when it comes to D&D. I enjoy RP, Puzzles, and Combat. I am on the East Coast in the USA and cannot play on Fridays or Mondays nor can I play between 5p-8:30p EST on Sundays, but the rest of the week is good as long as we can wrap up before 11p EST.
I can boost the character to whatever level is needed quickly but it is level one point buy with average starting gold so I could buy a horse instead of starting with armor. They are a Fighter going Psi-Warrior and an excellent swordsman hence both the 2-handed and 1-handed sword fighting styles to represent that level of training and skill as a Knight.
Description: Before you is a human male in their late twenties wearing the fine gray robes of a noble, a large belt pouch, and a longsword. They have charming blue eyes and well-groomed walnut colored hair along with a multi-colored beard.
Organization: The Invisible Order, established by the Bladelords of Jhaamdath who survived the destruction of their Empire. Though the order is not as dominant as it once was they have amassed tremendous power around the Sea of Fallen Stars through key nobles in the various nations of the region. Though few know the details of their order many understand it to be respected. Trained to use both the sword and their psionic powers they search for lost relics from Jhaamdath or anything else which might restore Auppenser.
Backstory: Lord Vythel Sigilhand was born to a family who can trace their roots back to ancient human nobility from Jhaamdath who ruled over some part of the Empire as Bladelords until the Empire was destroyed by High Elven Magic. Fleeing the region their family resurfaced as nobles during the reign of the Confederacy of Chondath only to survive the destruction of Chondath during the Spellplague because they had helped Lord Fergo Cordwell years earlier establish Hardcastle, a small city located on one of the only roads linking the Great Rift, Unther, and the Vilhon Reach.
Planned Feats:
1: Fighter Initiate - Great Weapon Fighting (Racial)
4: Marital Adept (Class) - Parry - Riposte
6: Magic Initiate (Class) - Mage Hand, cantrip - Mind Sliver, cantrip - Catapult, level one
Hello! That's an interesting character indeed! Would you consider shoving them into a westmarch-like setting, where they'd get stuck in an interdimensional nexus to go on adventures with other such unfortunates through series of one shots or longer form campaigns and the like? Play with different DM's with the same character, get access to any and all magic items your heart desires (mostly anyway) and maybe even get to take your character beyond level 20?
Maybe is it play by post or voice? I also have a friend from the group I typically DM (we're on hiatus while someone handles some IRL stuff) for IRL that really wants to play in a game also.
90% of sessions are voice, But there are PbP options and people often do TRP in DM's worlds, if they decide to open up for such. It is markedly rar-er than voice live sessions tho.
Your friend and their friend and whoever else is welcome to join too. if you invite them yourself you even get to claim some extra rewards once they reach lvl 5.
