Not new to DnD by any means. I am new to 5.0. (just a couple of games, sure did NURF the dickens out of it) Game to start pending I can finish the set up and get a couple of players. Still have to make game on DD beyond and can use discord for communication. Hoping for start date Sept 15th about 1300-1400 EST (USA). 2-3 hours per game. Standard ph characters and rest info on my discord. 4-5 total players that are willing and understanding of the learning curve of doing this online. I am NOT computer guy so some things will take longer to do. So if ya stick around long enough you just might have fun doing it... I am completely new to dnd and looking for a group I can join to play. I learn quickly and I know a decent bit about the game, so it shouldn't take me too long to get used to it. The only problem is I can't voice chat.. I don't have a mic and my headphones broke recently, have yet to get new ones. So if only text is fine then I can join too.
Basic rules: Any violation of these basic rules could cause your character to be killed instantly and your invitation to join us shall be terminated. Players with complaints come to me and we shall see what can be done to make peace. My rules shall not change. I have 20+ years experience playing fantasy games (computer and DnD 3.5e and OLDER and so forth) as well as 30+ yrs of strategy games (A&A, Third Reich, Risk and so on). I also have plenty of real military experience to make things challenging. This game will reflect what I have seen, faced, won and lost and maybe with a bit of a twist. All done to increase fun and add confusion. Happy hunting and slashing and figuring out how to survive. I admit I do NOT know all the rules nor do I care to know all the rules. However if I am WAY off mark please bring to attention respectfully as I try to be respectful and fair to the players. This can allow for us all to grow and maybe even change the results of the event.
Please keep profanity to a minimum. I have a hard enough time of it as it is. Its a game to have fun so please keep it clean, there could be kids playing. Please keep personal preference of pronouns and/or sex/gender or whatever its called now days to yourself. I don't play the game my gender is or what you ID as because I don't care! This game is not to promote/degrade any real world issues. Each player will be referred to by character name or chat name. Refer to me as DM or by name in chat. DISCLAIMER the more difficult name to pronounce the more likely of a nickname for you. I can be pretty creative on names! This is not to degrade or make fun of anyone. If this offends you then get an easier name to pronounce or quit and join a different warm and fuzzy game. This game is planed for us to have fun and escape the real world NOT to promote self interests or politics of the real world or make one feel warm and fuzzy.
