My name is Clint Kimsey & I’ve been playing D&D basically since I learned how to read in the mid-90s. I play in a bi-weekly game with my brothers online, planning to start a local game up again as well, would like to see about starting a weekly online game also, hence this post.
A friend of mine told me that you can actually get paid to DM groups & I figured I’d give it a go. Obviously local games are always a blast but what I had in mind would be running a game through an online platform like discord, roll20, owlbear rodeo, etc.
Within the last year or so, I’ve stepped away from teaching/coaching to be a stay-at-home Dad for my two young kiddos. My wonderful wife works from home & we are expecting our 3rd child early next year. So planning to purchase a mini-van later this year as well.
I’d be interested in running a 5th edition, medieval style, high fantasy campaign for a group of players. Open to all ages & skill levels! We’ve been running games in our created world of Honem for years (the way it’s set up is basically you can use any sort of characters from 5e you’d like. Same thing with all the pantheons & such.) Happy to run games with that or something else as the group would like.
I’m new to this whole posting thing, but happy to talk more about it. I have no clue what cost & payment would be. Whatever we thought was fair is fine by me, I’ve worked as a server, retail, camp counselor, teacher, youth ministry, coaching & hopefully soon as a DM, but would think playing a game once a week would be the plan. Would definitely want to start with a session zero to talk ground rules, characters, worlds, expectations, etc.
If there’s any interest, please feel free to email me at coachkimsey@gmail.com, happy to provide my cell once we get things all setup. Thanks so much for your time & reading this message. God Bless!
