We're seeking another player to join our "Dungeons of Drakkenheim" game, primarily to cover possible absences due to scheduling conflicts or emergencies. The game is held weekly on Thursday 8:00PM CST Dungeons of Drakkenheim is a dark renaissance fantasy campaign where players explore the lost city of Drakkenheim—a place teeming with strange creatures and a corrupting haze. Players hunt for treasures and arcane crystals while completing missions and negotiating with various factions throughout the city. Each player also has a personal quest that's drawn them to Drakkenheim.
The game will be hosted on roll20 and using discord for VC. Our current level 6 group consists of a human wizard/apothecary, a human cleric/apothecary, a human ranger, and a tabaxi paladin/sorcerer. The party leans towards neutral good and has been working closely with two factions: the Hooded Lanterns, a militia of veterans and volunteers striving to restore the city; and the Amethyst Academy, the continent's sole magic guild and authority.
Fair warning: the module and setting feature various dark themes, with body horror being prominent. It's a particularly challenging module with many altered and dangerous monsters and conditions that can affect the players. I also use a set of house rules during the game in addition to the standard 5e ruleset. A list of both should be provided on roll20.
We've been playing for just under a year, so you'll be joining a group with some history, but we're a chill and friendly bunch. It's worth mentioning that we're looking for folks who are comfortable with marginalized groups such as LGBTQA+, BIPOC, etc. We're also fairly left-leaning politically. While these topics don't come up during the game, they occasionally surface in our pre-game or post-game hangouts.
If you're interested or have questions, feel free to visit the roll20 link and leave a post. Please include your preferred name and pronouns, experience with TTRPGs and D&D 5e, a bit about yourself as a person or player, and possible character ideas (optional).
