Me and my group (consisting of 2 others, possibly 1 more) are looking to all finally being able to play together. We usually take turns in DMing and want the chance to be players together. We have played a little bit over a year now, so we would still class ourselves as beginners, but we would love the chance to play a full campaign together. 18+

We are looking for a DM that would be willing and enjoy taking us through Curse of Strahd. We have all heard great things about it and have avoided playing it due to wanting to play together. We would preferably like the DM to use Discord, some type of VTT (preferably AboveVTT) and have visual maps for each place. I know that’s a big ask, but when playing online I think that’s a must at this time.
We are all based in BST and free anytime during the week or weekends bar Wednesdays and not avaliable after 9pm on any days.
We love to role play, love implementing our backstories within campaigns if possible. We love everything to do with D&D and having the right Dm to guide us through Curse of Strahd, would make for an amazing campaign. But most of all, we just love having fun within D&D. That’s what it’s all about.

I was originally looking to play myself on the site, but I believe I fit your specifications.

Currently, I am running curse of strahd for a friendgroup of mine and I already know most aspects of the campaign. Implementing backstories, while not necessarily easy, would be fairly doable for me. However, I am curious how you would like to play online? I am familiar with roll20, but if you know some other medium I be happy to learn to it. 

I do have some conditions however: 1. I usually can't play on sundays.

2. I would like to keep sessions at most 3 to 4 hours long, less is also fine (I live in the netherlands and would like to not stay up to long)..

3. having a short break for 10 maybe 15 minutes per session (Allows me to quickly relieve myself or grab some snacks and refreshments, while allowing you to do the same).

4. I am familiar with the old 2014 rules and am not up to date on the 2024 rules. I am willing to learn those new rules, but until I fully understand them I would like it if you properly familiarize yourself with the rules of a class before you play said class.

5. I would like to see charactersheets and backstory beforehand. This seems reasonable given that you want to incorporate your backstories into the game.

6. No twilight cleric. This class breaks the campaign completely.This I found out myself with a rather clever player :|

I am going to assume that you have either already found a dm, found me to be not the right dm or lost interest. I like playing dnd, but I can't look for other games while keeping a commitment of playing as a DM for a group that has yet to reply. If you still want me to dm, please reply in two days. Otherwise, I hope you and your friends ultimately enjoy Curse of Strahd. It is a great campaign :)
