Hi, I'm completely new to DnD and want to start playing it and learn about the rules and game. If there is any group or DM willing to play please message me. (Timezone: CST) Discord: mikachu__
Preferably online since it would be easier for me. I don‘t know all of the styles tho if there is anything besides online and in person. When it comes to platform I don‘t know many sites so if you can recommend some I would appreciate it.
The more popular space to find games online as far as I have experienced is Roll20. I have had a lot of success finding games on there as well as finding players for my own. I also have learned to love its system and how all the little things work. I would suggest looking around on their LFGs to find something.
However, scheduling is USUALLY an issue no matter where you look and that's disheartening. A platform that's really good for getting around that is Westmarch (Play-by-post) servers. They are an all text based game run through Discord and other chat's that are almost always Anytime-Anywhere. They actually have a ton of them in the Forum Category called Play-by-Post.
If the second part interests you, I have a brand new server that started earlier this month and we would love to have you come adventure with us! We are beginner friendly and I am almost always on. :D https://discord.gg/guBDPzTw94 - the link if you want to join us!

Hey friend! Are you hoping to learn a specific way?
There's tons of platforms online and in person to do so.
What would you prefer ideally?

Sent request on Discord. I am a very experienced DM and some of my players are as well. I have no issue teaching a new player the game.
