Looking for Players: Dungeons & Dragons 5e | Serious Roleplay Group | Saturdays at 7 PM EST | Tabletop Simulator
Are you seeking a mature and immersive D&D experience? We’re forming a dedicated, serious roleplay group for Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition, playing weekly on Tabletop Simulator. Sessions are held every Saturday at 7 PM EST and run for 4-5 hours. We're looking for players who are passionate about roleplaying and enjoy exploring deep, character-driven narratives without the distractions of memes, rule-lawyering, or Critical Role-style play.
What We’re Looking For:
Age 25+ only. We want players who are mature, reliable, and committed to regular attendance.
Players who are serious about roleplaying and enjoy creating characters with depth and life experience.
Players who can separate in-game issues from real-life interactions and keep the game immersive.
No interest in Critical Role-style play or Baldur's Gate 3 exploits—we want a serious tone that respects the setting and story.
Players comfortable with the sandbox nature of the campaign—there is no established "BBEG" to chase; you shape the story.
Players open to collaborative world-building during a Session Zero, including how characters will fit into the homebrew world of Elestria.
Must be able to handle the ups and downs of dice rolls without frustration—sometimes luck isn’t on your side, but that’s part of the game.
No OC self-inserts, immature players, or those who can’t handle in-game challenges professionally. This game is for people who can roll with the narrative and engage with the story constructively.
Looking for players who are team-oriented and willing to work with others to make the party function mechanically and narratively.
No rules lawyers or those looking to break the immersion with out-of-character banter. Couples and theater majors are welcome!
Players who understand the balance between combat and roleplay—we'll have a mix of both.
Timezone: Prefer players who are in the same time zone (EST) or within one hour difference to ensure regular and easy scheduling.
Campaign Setting: The game takes place in Elestria, a rich and immersive world where your characters will be created to fit into the existing lore, rather than bringing in premade backstories that don’t mesh with the setting. Players are adventurers, free to pursue their own goals and define their path, rather than being led by an overarching BBEG. Session Zero will focus on discussing character creation, team dynamics, and personal expectations for gameplay.
House Rules:
No non-PHB races or classes unless approved by the DM.
Standard Array with a 1-point boost to the last two numbers.
Milestone leveling from level 3 to 12.
Tasha’s Cauldron subclasses are allowed if they don't heavily encroach on other classes' specialties.
Rule of cool applies—I prioritize fun over hard rules, but respect for the game, consequences of actions and setting is essential.
About Me (Your DM): I’ve been running D&D games for 5 years, using Tabletop Simulator with custom maps made on Inkarnate and HeroForge minis if desired. My games are sandbox-style, allowing players to make their own choices and face the consequences. I enjoy running immersive, player-driven campaigns where the world feels alive, and I encourage you to carve your own path in it. I don’t tolerate breaking immersion, rules-lawyering, or disruptive behavior. My wife will also be playing, but like everyone else, she gets no preferential treatment, and we play in separate rooms.
If you wish to Apply please shoot me a direct message titled 'Elestria' and tell me a bit about what drew you to apply and what kind of game you wish to play.
If you're ready to join a serious, immersive game where roleplay and character development come first, please respond to this post or DM me with some information about yourself, your experience with D&D, and your thoughts on roleplaying. We’re looking for 3-4 players who share the same vision for a mature and engaging game.
