The Session: The Manor
This will be a Halloween one-shot session, 3 weeks, 1 Session '0'  meet&teach and 2 sessions of 3-4 hours each.

We'll start at level 1. If we decide to continue, we could go on up to 6 - 12 months up to level 8?

Halloween Event: The Manor
Just outside of Marylock Village there is an old stone mansion surrounded by fields of grain and long grasses. During a moon lit night you can hear a woman screaming into the darkness like a banshee. Her screams have grown louder and there have been reports of attacks from outside the village. The roads are no longer safe. There must be someone who can stop these creatures from invading our homes! The small village of Marylock culminates at the Slurping Stirge Tavern, perhaps you can find more information there.

Continuation World Event: The Wishing Stones
A messanger arrives to you at night, a letter urging you to seek and find the ancient treasure known as the Wishing Stones, promising you each a stone for yourself and those who would join you on this monumental quest. Your party will unite and there will be much treasure, but be warned, there will be dangers ahead as well. Hold fast, and you will succeed. If you doubt the sincerity of my claim, take this here, 100 gold pieces as a token of my good faith. Do with it what you will. But if you seek rewards beyond your wildest dreams, join me at Marylock Village at the Slurping Stirge Tavern. I will offer you the key.

The Manor:
Rumors tell of an old manor that no one dare reenter for it is haunted by a dark demonic spirit. Shrill shrieks in the night echo through the stone chambers. A smell of death permeates throughout the cold dark rooms.

Game: D&D 5e
Group type: Online Required Tools: Roll20 + Discord (All Free)
Experience: New
Location/Timezone: I'm CST, 3-week minimum commitment for the Halloween one-shot.
Attendance will be important! We don't want to interrupt your life schedule! - Not a fan of lies, "I'm not feeling well." Just say, "I cant make it." ahead of time. Life happens! If we're missing 2 or more players, we may postpone the next session until the following week.
Schedule: Once a Week ^ any time Sunday ~3.5-4.5 hours (4 hours)
Roles sought: Players 6 (minimum 4)
Game style: Adventure/Roleplay/Turn-based-Combat/Puzzles
Group type: Online - Discord (mic required), dndbeyond.com for Character Sheets + Equipment/item tracking - roll20 for Map / Game-board / Player Unit placement/Control / Story Elements.
Tools you will need: register with, roll20 and dndbeyond, and Discord.
Experience: DMing, New / a year.
Game style: "Casual," 45%combat, 45%role play/story, 10%puzzles - No God complex DM, but there will be a judgement of risk/reward and treasures abound!
Races: Only the first set of Races in the PHB, Players Hand Book
I'm 37, a semi-veteran of D&D, but not to DMing, I know the basics and I welcome you as new players to learn the basics and bear with me as we create new adventures together! I know what I'm doing and can guide you through how gameplay works.

We will be focusing on RAW, D&D 5e Core Roles according to:

with a handful of Homebrew mechanics (as per Player Handbook) such as Stealth, Acrobatics, Jumping, Magic learning, New and Improved Shops, etc. (actually reading through the handbook, any 'learning' or 'crafting' or 'day job,' is pretty much homebrew, I have a list of Gems, Items, Armors, Shops, and Treasures that I've created to help add to the standard RAW "lantern, rope, lockpicks, club, etc" Economy and how Gold and EXP works will be Venture-Based.

I'd like to start a, "Session 0" meet-and-greet, on 10/20/2024 set and seek expectations on how you wish to play, setting up the board, help with character/class creation, etc. It would be ~1-1.5 hours and no Mission on Session 0.

Good morning. Yes we have open slots, a few maybes and a few who can't do weekly-Sunday's.

Was really hoping for new players because my experience with Veterans or other DM's as a New DM, i get a lot of, "Nu-uh, and That's not in the Book" (and I do a lot of Homebrewing) - As long as they can keep an open mind as a Player rather than a GM/DM, and free Sundays weekly, absolutely you're welcome to join.
