The Adventure: The Madhouse of Tasha's Kiss

On this adventure the party will be investigating a village after merchant shipments have ceased, only to find a overgrown circus tent.

Background:

Although it is a one-shot, I do love to encourage players flesh out as much of their characters as they desire. It will not be relevant but if you'd like some additional flavoring for your backgrounds, assume that this is the world of Exandria (Critical Role).

Format:

We will be playing on Foundry VTT. This is completely free on your end. If you do not have experience or are still new, please let me know and I can guide you.

Discord for voice chat.

Camera is encouraged but not required. And yes, bust out the Halloween costumes if you'd like!

Microphones are required. Nothing fancy necessary, however a base level quality is to ensure the sanity of mine and everyone else's ears.

Speaking of sanity! We will be using a Madness table. Some of the effects can be detrimental, others are mostly nice bits of roleplaying. I understand that for some a Madness mechanic can be triggering due to its implications with mental health however, I run a fun table with respect and compassion for everyone. Should anyone, including myself, cross anyone's line, no problem, I will take care of the situation.

Personal Rules of the Game:

Respect Everyone's Time. It's a One-Shot so we don't have much of it. There is some grace period time for introductions, going over the rules, and a brief rundown of how Foundry works. As well as a bio break. Should any emergencies/hold ups, I don't need the details or an explanation, just let me know of the cancellation/delay time. Thanks.

About Me:

My name is Marxy (she/her), 28. I've been playing for over ten years now. Been DMing for five. I have run multiple one shots between friends and associates as well as one medium length campaign over course of several months during the pandemic. As well as a long term campaign that recently ended after a year and a half of play. I'm doing this now to continue developing my skills as a DM and get some feedback in the process.

My style of play is focused on story telling but damn do I love running a zany and challenging battle! Get ready for devious spellslinging, sour-sick gut punches, snotful tears, and more. From which side? Whose to say XD
