Group type: Online

Players can expect a good balance of three-dimensional roleplaying, challenging combat, and sandbox-ish exploration (it is a published adventure)
DM excels at colorful NPCs, vibrant locations, and an engaging story.

This is a beginner-friendly level 1-20 campaign. Expected session count 30-50.
Discord or Zoom for group AV during sessions and Foundry VTT (on ForgeVTT) for virtual tabletop. Players will have access to my content on D&D Beyond for character creation, which is recommended, but not required.
Sessions will have a 10-minute mid-game break
Progression is XP based
Players rewarded with Heroic Inspiration, plus weekly MVP awards that provide in-game buffs
DM Style: I am an actor and former game store owner for 10 years. Even with published adventures like Rise of the Drow, I try to create an open sandbox and let the players make meaningful choices that have in-game consequences. I've been DMing RPGs for literally decades. My campaigns are character-driven with lots of elements from the PC back stories mixed into the pre-published adventure. Rise of the Drow is super fast-paced, especially at the start, where you are likely to go from 1st to 4th level in the first five sessions. I run a safe table that is perfect for new players: no judgement or bullying. Everyone is welcome. I am free to chat on Discord before your first session to talk about gameplay, expectations, character creation and answer any questions you might have.
Embrace the Darkness: Journey into the Underdark 🕯️🌘
Epic Level 1-20 Campaign
🛡️ New 5E Rules As Available
⚔️ Battle Horrors of the Underworld
🌍 Explore the Depths Below
🎭 Rich Roleplay and Mature Themes
Tonight, a ceremony of light takes place on the surface. Meanwhile, in the city of spiders, a drow matron solidifies a pact with soul-consuming entities, trading great sacrifices for unimaginable power. Drow eyes turn to the surface. After all, they will need many sacrifices!
The Underworld Awaits: Enter the Underworld, a dark and dangerous place inspired by Norse mythology and popularized by the late, great E. Gary Gygax, as well as authors Ed Greenwood, R.A. Salvatore, and many others. A twisted and dark place with a myriad of cultures and creatures, the Underworld is an entire world buried below the surface, hidden from the light of day. Deep caves and dark passages wind and honeycomb throughout the earth, with distinctly unique species plotting against each other and unknown horrors slogging about looking for an easy meal.
So far, we have a dwarf paladin, an orc fighter, and an elf wizard. So, there are a ton of great options for your character: bard, rogue, ranger, druid, sorcerer, warlock or barbarian would all be great. For new players, I might suggest barbarian, ranger, or rogue, since spellcasters are a tiny bit more complicated.
