Welcome to Ashar
In the beginning the planes overlapped, the Primals ruled, and the humanoids suffered. The Kosmos was pure Kaos. As time went on, the humanoids became more numerous, the pantheon expanded, and the deities began to see the humanoids’ suffering. They responded with an epic battle, declaring champions, and fighting back the Primals. During the Kaos War each of the deities grabbed a plane of existence at a different point and began to pull. Separating them until they each overlapped only the smallest amount because separating them entirely would lead to that plane’s destruction. With this separation the deities chose where all the creatures, including the Primals, of the Kosmos would live. This left the material plane to the humanoids and the natural flora and fauna of that plane.
It is now several centuries after the Kaos War in the year 813AK. The world is Ashar and for the most part has been fully inhabited by humanoids. There are five different continents, several small independent territories, and numerous islands. All these places still boast plenty of secrets for the daring adventurer to go and discover, defend, or take for themselves. It is a great place to become rich then set up that small tavern or shop every retiring adventurer dreams of having… unless of course you ask some scholars that are certain something dark is churning in the Kosmos. Demanding to be released from its dark prison. Most scholars call these people doomsayers and laugh it off… but then again… what was that rumbling? An earthquake? Or some long-forgotten thing trying to rupture the peace that the humanoids have mostly found on their plane of existence. Are you daring enough to chase the shadows and discover what is lurking there?

I have created a sandbox and wait to see what mountains my players create or demolish.
Interested but I haven't used the 2024 book before.
