Explore the vast Forest of Davokar in the hunt for treasure, lost wisdom and fame. Visit the barbarian clans to trade or to plunder their treasuries. Establish a base of power among princes, guilds or rebellious refugees in the capital city. Or survive encounters with arch trolls, dark-minded blight beasts and undead warlords. But whatever you do, never ignore the warnings spoken by the wardens of the forest: tread carefully and do not disturb the ruins of old, for the darkness of Davokar is about to awaken…
A little over two decades have passed since the The Great War against the hordes of the Dark Lords ended, a war that left the old country in ruins and dying. The Queen has taken the survivors north, an ancient land dominated by the dark forest of Davokar. Here you will take on the roles of explorers and adventurers, exploring ancient ruins uncovering untold riches and ancient magics. Here you will find your destiny.

Thistle Hold is a newer town, a base of Ambrian operations on the south side of the massive forest known as Davokar. From their, those with proper permits are allowed to enter the dangerous woods, a place of mystery and horror, and treasure. Few who return, return hale and whole, and many survivors carry within them a taint of Corruption that does not wash away.
The forest of Davokar is a singularly dangerous place, not just because of the fell creatures and darkfolk that inhabit the ancient forest, but also just by its nature. Those who long linger within find themselves twisted mockeries of their former selves. Or so the rumours go.
You have been summoned to appear before the mayor on a mission rumored to take you into Davokar. As normally you would need a permit, this is an opportunity, and one that should pay well. Furthermore, a good showing with the mayor will set you up for further forays into the fel forest.
Will you join us and find your fortune in the dark forest?
This story takes place in a troubled world, filled with conflict, corruption and forgotten truths. The game takes its name from a vast and long-dead culture that once dominated the region where the great forest of Davokar now grows. Civilisation has expanded into the lands south of the dark forest, sending out expeditions into the depths seeking treasure and ancient lore amidst the scattered ruins.
Your stories will focus on dramatic adventures and moral choices, seasoned with character development and hazardous encounters. More than twenty years before the start of the campaign the people true to Queen Korinthia fled the blighted lands of Alberetor and crossed The Titans into Ambria. This fertile, but inhabited, land could support and sustain them, but to acquire it the refugees needed to use their skills in arms and warfare to lay claim.
The new Ambrians have been invaded and become the invader, fought for freedom and yet became the oppressor and executioner of barbarians inhabiting the great, ruined city of Yndaros at the heart of the realm. While the walls of the Queen’s Palace glitter and gleam, refugees wallow, outside the eastern walls of the royal residence, in a pit of desperation, depravity and squalor.
Will you help bring a new age of prosperity and abundance to your people? Will you try to bring the disparate cultures together? Will you plunder the ancient forest for it's riches and secrets? What destiny will you forge?
