ABOUT ME:
Hello everyone! My name is Grim! I am a pro dm of 7+ years and have had over 100+ players and multiple full length campaigns. I got started in D&D like most of you, from friends! Once I started I couldnt get enough! I love the stories and characters! My goal is to create a community of people who love the game and make life long friends from it. Best part? It's happening! I have friends from old campaigns all over the world. I travel for work which gives me the unique opportunity to actually meet my players in person! When you join my table, know that you are in a great space of fun, genuine, kind, and loving people who create ever lasting friendships and memories through D&D!

Outside of D&D I love playing other games like Guild Wars, and I work in music for a living! D&D reminds me daily that its not just a fantasy world, this game inspires many into greatness through every facet of their life and its an experience I want to share! As for game themes, I love anything spooky, dark, and epic.

ABOUT THE GAME:
This campaign is a horror survival theme. Lots of frost creatures, ghosts, devils, demons, and more! Fog that obscures vision, a bitter cold that chills to the bone, whispers in the blizzard is it an enemy? An Ally? Or are you going mad? You and your party will brave the elements, fend of unspeakable horrors, and become local heroes!

4-6 players is what I like to keep for a healthy table. I can run up to 14 but I find more than 6 can bog down the story and take away from the epic narratives that are your characters.

TABLE RULES:
we are using 2024 rules and character creation. There is backwards compatibility for more flavor in characters but rules as written will be default to 2024.
1. DM rolls are visible for everyone. I dont fudge dice I want it to be as transparent as possible
2. Death Saving Throws are secret to build more urgency and suspense.
3. Rule of Cool! If your action bends the rules slightly but helps progress and enhance the story I am usually for it!
4. Players are different than characters. I take careful consideration into the actions of the player vs the character. I hope that you do the same for your fellow party members.
5. Each Character will have at least one moment to shine per session. I love roleplay and the stories you each bring and conjure together. I will never leave a person out. Maybe that scene isnt your moment but you will have one.

WHY PAID GAMES:

Paid games is a way of commitment not just from player to DM, but also DM to player and player to player. You are investing in your party, in your character. Think of it like a book. You are the main character and get to narrate your actions inside of the world set before you. I spend a lot of time (probably too much) not just building a story but also a world for you. I also spend a lot of time working with each player for their backstory, as well as progression and where they want there character to end up. I build maps, procure music, write stories and create special NPC's to enhance the world you are in. Your contribution also goes into game materials. Multiple subscriptions, new materials, and much more. The remainder usually helps ease a bill, or my coffee habit lol. Life is an MMO for me and I like the grind. I work hard and play hard. When I am not working I am with family helping make sure their needs are met, and if I am not there I am with you guys! Here you will gain a family. When people pay for games what they are really paying for is content, consistency, and companionship.

OTHER SESSIONS:
Currently I have Sunday, Tuesday, and Wednesday nights open after 7pm. If you are interested in a specific campaign let me know! I am currently prepared for: Rime of the Frostmaiden, Out of the Abyss, Tyranny of Dragons, Curse of Strahd, Dragonlance, and more.

NEW TO D&D:
If you are new to D&D not to worry! I have a course for players who want to learn but dont want to learn on the fly. I also offer private tutor sessions, DM prep material, Guided journals, and more! you can checkout my website which will be linked in the community discord!

SENSITIVE CONTENT:
Some people may be sensitive to certain content. Session 0 will cover over all of those as well as set a precedence for table rules. I am pretty relaxed and allow most things that help drive or enhance the story. However, There is some content I am strict about such SA. Players are allowed to elude to troubled past for the sake of conquering their backstory but no actions of SA are allowed at my table. Remember this is also a discussion among the players as to what content we would not like to see at the table. My games are 18+ for that very reason that some content may not be suitable for children.

Hey there! I hope I'm not too late to express my interest in joining. I'm a relatively new player (just a couple short campaigns under my belt), but I love to learn. I'm open to playing whatever the party needs for balance. (Just, no murderhoboing, please--it was the death of my last group.
