Hey! Thanks for checking out this post. I'm Jack, I'm a professional DM, and I'm stoked about nearing my player limit, posting on Reddit and DnD Beyond is nice for finding people, but I'd rather spend my time running more games!
I figured I'd post my remaining available slots here, and if you all are interested, just DM me, or email me at jackdupdungeons@gmail.com.
All of our games are weekly online 3-hour sessions from Monday to Thursday, and I have slots remaining that can accommodate GMT Nights, AEST Mornings, and PST through EST evenings and afternoons.
To clarify, our sessions cost $24/player/session, and normally a bit more after PayPal fees, but we have a discount going through the end of the year that gets you a price of $22.50 pre-fees. If this isn't something you can swing, no worries, I totally get it. I was aiming for the Trader Joe's price point, high enough to make the quality noticeably better than others, but low enough that even if you are paying for the maximum possible option, you won't hit the $40-50 range some of the upper echelons of StartPlaying offer.
Our typical player is funny, timely-(ish, 5 mins late is okay with extenuating circumstances such as "oops, my bad.") not the worst, and excited to play DnD! I have a fun mix, where we've got 30% newbies who learn the rules quickly at our tables, 40% DMs who are excited to be on the other side of the table, and 30% moderately experienced players, stoked for our mix of meaningful RP, tactical combat, and VTT-guided exploration. Our tables are about 50% LGBTQ+ and with slightly more women than men, so be okay with that if you're going to reach out!
All DM-ing is based on trust between players, and I am a DM who prefers stricter rulesets, so that victories feel earned. These start with RAW as a baseline for in-game rulings, but allow tables to vote on rule changes based on unanimous consensus. I allow some of the community's best homebrew (Huffman's Pugilist and Mage Hand Press's Witch are phenomenal), but have a team who helps ensure that all things remain balanced, so that any player can play any character and still contribute meaningfully to a session. My preference for "Rule of Cool" extends more to "Let's expand the rules so that that cool balanced thing you'd like to do can be done consistently." and less "Your success is at my whims."
Here are the games we have available, listed in EST time zones!

If any of these catch your eye and you'd like to hear more, whether you're a brand new DnD player looking for a new hobby or a bit of a respite from our crazy world, or a veteran who has strong opinions about 3.5's "superior" combat system, contact me here on DnD Beyond, or at jackdupdungeons@gmail.com, and we can get you started as soon as next week. If you read all this, type the word Craigster into the message you send when you reach out!
I'll edit the post accordingly to remove slots as they're claimed, the last time I did this, they went fairly quickly, so I'm sorry if the one you're available for filled up before your timezone could've gotten a chance to claim it!
