Game: D&D 5e Group type: Online Experience: New Location/Timezone: Sturgis, MI / EST Schedule: Typically 7pm-9pm EST, random evenings, but very flexible (Work from home and homeschool) Roles sought: Players (1 or 2 new players, starting at level 2.) Game style: casual, hack'n'slash
My two sons (13 and 15) would like another player or two (or few?) their age to join their Lost Mine of Phandelver campaign that I'm DM'ing for them. Either in person or online. They just started, are about to finish Cragmaw Hideout and are level 2.
Although we play in person, I'm running them using Beyond's mapping, campaign & encounter tools. I also have Dungeon Alchemist for some 3D & homebrew stuff as well as Discord.
Hi this may be a late reply and you probably already found people, but if you're still interested in new players i would love to be apart of this. I would be online tho. I am their age as well and am looking for a group. if this could work let me know and i can give/figure out more details as it comes :)
We haven't added anyone else yet. I'll show them this and they'll probably reach out to you on Discord to see if its a good fit.
So far, they're more into the hack & slash aspect, hurrying over the role play portion but having played an extended 1-shot with a local school group, they do better when others pick up and run with the deeper role play aspects.
Part of that also may be that I'm a new DM and play 'from the hip' on many aspects. I'm still learning a lot of the rules that have been added over the decades since I last played so thats a factor as well.
We typically run for 2-3 hours on Thursday evenings, starting around 6-7 Eastern time if that works for you?
I would love to join as well! I'm sixteen in New Zealand, and I am definitely into role-play and intrigue over hack and slash, but I'm happy to follow along. Most of the time I have to DM for my mates anyway, so it would be great to play for once. I can play for the next three or four weeks, and then I might have to see about after that. I've never played lost mines of phandelver, even though it is probably the most common one so you wont see any metagaming from me. My discord is general_lupin if you are interested.
If possible, I'd love to join. I'm around their age, and in the same timezone. This'll be my first time playing D&D, but I've read the 2014 rules and have a general idea of how the game works. My Discord is currently broken but with luck, should be fixed soon.
Edit: Discord's working again! My discord is whoisbethany_48400
