Hello there fellow role players i have some news for you!! So i run a little group with my friends for a game called The One Ring which is another RPG like D&D but not at the same time as it has its own mechanics and take on combat, races and classes. That being said it still shares enough of the core systems and such even if it goes about it a different way that after some practice im sure that you'll get the hang of it. With that out of the way the story itself is based off of a RP discord server that i run which will involve the attempted restoration of the great realm of Arnor taking place in the year 2965 TA as a proud man with ties to that ancestral land has began to process to return it to its former glory. This will be a lengthy campaign as you try to restore some semblance of order and prosperity among the towns and villages filled with folks from Gondor and even the rangers themselves. All is not well however as the Lord of Mordor has seen the power of the old realm returning and will not have it and so he has made plans of his own. It is up to you and your Fellowship to aid the Free peoples in this dire time and will need more than just your skill in battle to succeed as the agents of the Dark Lord move through out the lands making deals and promises to those willing to listen.
If you are interested please let me know on here and leave a reason as to why you think you'd be a good fit for the group and why you want to join. One thing i do want to say is i do plan on streaming these sessions onto twitch and posting on YouTube if possible so if that not for you i understand and wish you luck on your search. Down below ill list some of the basic information so that you can see if this is something that could potentially work for you or not.
Group info
Looking for: 1-2 players
Experience/knowledge:This will be a game for everyone with all different levels of experience however, having some knowledge of the world itself will be very beneficial to understand what all is going on. It will also help when it comes to understanding things that may be talked about which happened prior to this story line.
When we play: We usually play on Saturdays once or twice a month for about 3 hours at a time and start typically around Noon CST or a bit after depending on peoples schedules.
So if something like this interest you please let me know or if you have anymore questions feel free to ask and i will answer them to the best of my ability, hope to hear from yall soon!
Hello! I'm curious about your LOTR game. I've been playing (running my own) LOTR5E game since the 5E version became available, and am looking for one to play in. I'm a huge Tolkienite, read nearly everything Tolkien has ever published, definitely interested in this but I'm curious how big of a gap the mechanics are between the One Ring and LOTR5E. Please DM me I'd love to join if it's a good fit <3 I'm okay with recording (I'm an actor in real life).
Hello there. I'm also curious about your game. I've played a handful of 5E games and I have the current LOTR5E book. I have a level 3 Lindon Elf ready from a previous campaign that I can rework for the One Ring if necessary. I'm pretty knowledgeable in the lore as well. I'm also a Twitch streamer (though I spend my time in the Music category). LOTR games seem rare around here and I think I can help add a little fun to your campaign.
