Which is the most interesting campaign idea? - Single Choice
What evenings do you think I should be pitching my games for? - Single Choice
Hello DM's and players! Tell me what you think of my campaign ideas!
I've got Foundry, a few one-shots under my belt, and a burning passion to run a campaign, BUT I have to meet some DnD folks online! I've only got a few players, not enough to make a table, but would like to get my weekdays filled with DnD! I figure $10 a person was decent as a one-shot price, to see if we can get a consistent game going. I find that paying for a game actually increases the fun because everyone's there for the same level of commitment.
.
The following are the campaigns I'm frothing at the mouth and ready to run w/ all the fancy Foundry advancements, once ppl know they like the group and would play a longer campaign:
- Ten Towns of Maztica (that's Rime of the Frostmaiden's fun first act set in DnD's Mexico) 1-6
- Lost City of Mezro (alternate quest set in the Tomb of Annihilation world) 5-15 , also down for Tomb of Annihilation post-Hexcrawl Lvl 4-13 (for those of us who never survived)
- Drakkenheim Alternate Quest : There's an amazing, famously good module from an older edition I want to run, but set in the contaminated world of Drakkenheim 4-11. More fun if you can't meta, right?
- Desert of Desolation : 5-9 - a three-part famously good module, converted to 5e
- Elemental Planes: Ran this IRL from 3-12 and we loved it. Journey to every Elemental Plane in an epic campaign. I guess this is for when we find the right group to really vibe with, but this is your off-the-railroad campaign experience.
I figure, if you wanna throw down for at least a one-shot on the weekdays/eves as we wait for a vibing table of 4 or 5, this is my idea for the 'waiting room' campaign:
Radiant Community College: The party attends a university with a portal to 'infinite quests' (pulled from all my fave Adventure League modules and other one-shots). You get a grade and loot to bring on more and more quests. I figure this is the easiest if ppl drop in/out. HMU If you just want to one-shot it w this, and I can send a discord invite. I don't necessarily need to charge for this one 'til we get 5 players, as it can be the 'waiting room' for a campaign coordination.
What ones sound interesting to you? Do you have a day/eve that you're most free? I'm MST. Tell me which are cool stories, and if enough ppl respond maybe we can get a table going.
The point is that I would be very flexible on my weekdays for a $10/game session (3-3.5hrs, pay via StartPlaying or app)
Posted some games on StartPlaying, but this thread cuts through all the noise, like: Who's free weekdays and weekday eves for a pay-to-play? I can guarantee a good time, if we can wiggle enough ppl's schedules together :)
DM's what do you think of my approach? Is it better/faster to just give players strict times to sign up for? How did you get your first online/stranger groups going?
