Hi! I'm a second-time DM looking for a player or two to join my online sci-fi campaign on Friday nights at 8 PM EST.
- New players are welcome to join - Session one is on February 7th but late starters are fine! - Preferably looking for players 18 and older (current members are 18-22) - We use DNDBeyond for character sheets and Discord for VC, will possibly be using Roll20 for maps but will require a lot of theatre of the mind - Women and LGBTQ+ friendly!
If you're still reading, here's the premise of the campaign:
Generations ago, a ship known as the Defiant traveling through space was attacked mid-flight and crashed onto a planet now known as Detritus. Fearing another assault from the alien forces above, the people aboard the Defiant moved deep underground to protect themselves from the violent creatures. After decades of technological advancement, one building now stands on the surface of the otherwise barren planet: the Defiant Defense Force, a military base aimed at training the most well-rounded, competent soldiers in flight and aerial combat in order to fight for control of the skies of Detritus against the aliens that have imprisoned your people for hundreds of years. One decade ago, the Skyward Flight — the most infamous of the training pilot classes — went on the offense against their own, shooting down several dozen other pilots in a frenzied rage until they were all eventually brought down. It took several years to rebuild their numbers, but now the DDF has finally seemed to recover from the tragedy, and is intent on burying it as deeply as they can. Due to one reason or another, you have all found yourselves training at the DDF to be pilots and finally see the sky of Detritus after living out your entire lives underground. Find what it takes to break free of the shackles passed down by your ancestors and live another day above-ground.
