Game: D&D 5e Group type: Online Experience: Any Timezone: EST Schedule: Saturday nights, starting 8 pm EST Roles sought: DMs who want to be players! Between 3 and 6 people. Game style: Prefer a balance of roleplay and combat, but flexible.
You! Yeah, you. Do you have experience DMing? Have you had trouble finding a group in which you can be a player? Well, you're in luck, because you're exactly who I'm looking for! See, I've found myself in that position, and based on the number of posts I've found of DMs looking for a break to be players, I'm far from the only one. So, I have a proposal: a sort of round robin style table where we all DM for each other, and all have a chance to be players!
So, here's how it would work: we'd all agree on a world (canon one or homebrew one together.) Then we come up with a very vague basis for a game (for example, we all work for the same organization, are part of a mercenary guild, etc.) From there, we each take turns running 2-5 session mini-adventures for the rest of the group. Obviously, the DM's character won't participate in the adventures that they themselves are running. Also, a DM can have a running plotline in between their mini adventures, but it isn't required. Anyhow, the point is that we all get to play between turns DMing. The exact details, such as whether we're using the 2014 or 2024 rules, if there will be any house rules, what topics are off-limits, etc. are for us to decide once we have a group together, since we'll all be sharing in the DMing.
Anyway, if this post sparked your interest, please reach out to me and tell me a bit about your DMing style/experience and I'll work on organizing a group that I think will work well together. I look forward to hearing from you!
I’m an old school DM. I’ve been playing D&D since 1980 and still have an active group I’ve DM’d for the last 30+ years. It would fun to find a group to share and play on both sides of the DM screen.

Hello,
I’m an old school DM. I’ve been playing D&D since 1980 and still have an active group I’ve DM’d for the last 30+ years. It would fun to find a group to share and play on both sides of the DM screen.
Reached out to you with a message earlier! I'm possibly interested!
