DM LFP for online or in-person game Sunday/Monday nights - based in Nevada

Game: D&D 5.5e (free)

Group type: Online or Face-to-face

Experience: I have DM’ed and played off and on for over 20 years. I’m definitely not perfect as a DM, but love being creative and working with others to create a fun place to relax and escape for a while.

Location/Timezone: Reno, NV (Pacific time)

Schedule: I am available to DM Sunday nights and Monday nights, and occasionally Friday nights/weekends. If you are available Sunday or Monday nights (typically starting around 6:15pm, going for anywhere up to 3 hours or so), doesn’t matter to me what time zone you are in. If you are in the Reno area and want to do something in-person, let me know!

Roles sought: I enjoy running games for very small groups (1-2 players). Looking for someone to start a new campaign with who enjoys Forgotten Realms. I’m more than happy to teach any new players the ropes, work with experienced players to provide a theme that is most enjoyable for you, or anything in-between.

Age: I’m a chill 40+ guy, looking for any player of any experience level who is 25+

Game style: I try to provide a good balance of roleplaying, exploring, and combat while keeping things immersive. I like to DM for 1-2 players because it lets people get more focused on their own characters and goals, allows for some fun customizations, and provides a lot of freedom. I am very familiar with the rules, but happy to make exceptions or House Rules that keep gameplay fun and interesting. My goal is to create an experience that makes you want to keep coming back for more.  :)

Whether online or in-person, I like to use DND Beyond as the hub because:

• I own all of the official digital books, and most of the 3rd party books, which means you don’t have to own any books of your own; I can share all of mine with you
• The Maps VTT has really evolved, making it a great place to run adventures and immerse players in the world
• Characters are easy to make (I’m happy to help if you aren’t very familiar), and gives lots of flexibility to create fun custom options
• If you want to do something a little different such as having super powers (al la Marvel super heroes), gaining a special trait (like a cool character from your favorite movie or anime), have a particular spell you love, or anything else you can imagine, I can quickly help you create a character that has everything plug right into your character sheet online (tying in with all your ability scores and everything else), giving tons of customization options based on your desired playstyle and game flavor. There is virtually no limit to what we can customize!
