Experience: Any. We have a mix of newer, a few years of experience and long time players.
Location/Timezone: Buffalo, NY (Specifically, Amherst)
Schedule: Saturday Night at 5:00 PM EST. We usually play until 9:00 or 10:00
Roles sought: 1-2 players. We also like to take turns DMing campaigns, so if you have an interest in DMing, you'd also be welcome, but DMing isn't required.
Game style: We are pretty casual, lots of dungeon crawling. We try our best with role-playing but some of us aren't great at it. Combat heavy, and we typically like a challenging campaign.
We play at my home in Amherst, and I do try to be upfront, I have dogs though they are very friendly, and a 3 year old. He doesn't spend too much time in the room during the game and goes to bed halfway though, but he is around sometimes. Everyone is super friendly and likes to have fun with it as much as possible, shenanigans are welcome. We have recently implemented a a map so minis are welcome but not required. We plan on shifting to the 2024 rules soon, but are currently running through tomb of Annihilation campaign. We have plans to start running home rew campaigns in the future, but while we have a lot of experience as players, we lost our DM last year. I am usually the DM now, and I'm working hard to improve my DM skills, and gain experience with published campaigns before diving into a homebrew. Please let me know if there's anything I missed.
Greetings! This post is about two years old, but the ebb and flow of D&D games being what it is, I though that maybe you were once again looking for a D&D player. I've been playing for about 6 years. I've DM'd for three of those. I tend to play chaotic good support players (bard, Palidin, cleric). I like to help other palyers tell their story and generally try to help the story along while adding to it. I'm comfortable with role-playing my characters and try to make an enviornment where other people are more comfortable role-playing theirs. Maybe we could do a no-pressure, trial session and go from there?
