I doubt this is a new one, but I don't see the particular support I'm looking for.
See, right now I'm living in a place nineteen miles from the nearest FLGS. They had been running Living Adventures, but owing to medical circumstances, they stopped in January. The next possible place is... [checks map] 37 miles away. The odds of me getting away long enough to join an existing open group are slim to none.
And I can't believe I'm the first person this has happened to. I would be very surprised if Wizards didn't have some sort of starter kit for new players. And I don't just mean the D&D Starter box, I mean something to attract players completely unfamiliar with the game, e.g. posters to put up in the local library's notice board which can be customized with a simple day and time. Then the GM meets the people there, introduces the game step by step, turns them into players, and no longer has to look for groups in neighboring states because they've got one there.
Can anyone point me at some similar resource on here, please?
