Location/Timezone: Cookeville, Tennessee Area (willing to travel up to 30 minutes) / Central Standard Time

Preferred role: Player
Game style: Casual introduction into D&D
Me and a Friend of mine are looking to join a D&D group or start a new one in the area. Primarily looking for a DM. Both of us are male in our early 20s. Please help as we've wanted to try for years, and we even attempted once and failed (friend was the DM, but he was too new and it fell apart). Not really interested in paying to play, but make new friends.
My name is Aric and I'm located in Vernon KY. That's just across the border from Celina TN. We have a group that runs a weekday campaign twice a month (Schedules allowing) and have done so for a year and a half. I'm looking to start a weekend campaign as well. Would be a new homebrew campaign (all 5e rules)
I'd like to do two longer sessions per month. We play here in Vernon as I have a designated game area (It's a garage apartment that no-one lives in) with all the facilities and none of the house interruptions. The good news is it's completely outfitted for gaming.
Experience doesn't matter to me. I'd be happy to help any new players or game with any old hands. My history with D&D is that I played a lot in the late 70's and early 80's then got back into it a couple years ago. I enjoy the 5e format and run my homebrews through that system.
I'm in my 50s. My wife plays with our weekday group and may be convinced to play with a weekend group as well. In my opinion age doesn't matter, just a love of gaming. We have members from 16 to 60 in weekday group.
I'd like to get a group of at least 4 players together for this.
If there's any interest in this, please text me at 808 295-5280 (Old number that I've kept. I don't live in Hawaii anymore)
Hey everyone, I'm jumping on this thread. I moved to Cookeville last summer and now I'm ready to start gaming again (in person). I have many years of experience in running games - D&D (most editions), Dungeon World, Dungeon Crawl Classics, and others.
This month (January 2025) I'd like to set up a couple of 0-level "funnel" games and get as many players going through as possible to see if we can forge a group of 6-8 people for ongoing games.
I would prefer to play at someplace like The Table Game Lounge in Cookeville on Thursdays and occasional Saturdays.
Games are ready to go, I just need players. Let's run some one-off intro games and then you can decide if you want to keep going!

Would also like to note that we both read a lot of Sci-fi/Fantasy novels and hope to bring our love for the genre into our play.
Hey Tyler. I too live in the Cookeville area and am looking for a group. Still interested in finding/forming one?
I'm still interested, and my home is enough to accommodate a group. DM me for contact info
I’m actually in Baxter TN and but would be a first time player. I’m interested in joining a group and learning how to play.

Were you able to find a group?
Did you ever find a group? I live in Sparta and DM/host at my place. We are looking for a few more players.

Aric you are based too far from Cookeville for me, but from the sounds of your post I bet we would have a great time playing!
