All across Hyrule blows a harsh and scorching wind - a vast desert stretches across what was rumored to once be beautiful fields. In this land forsaken by the gods, still there are some that hold to their faith. Hylia has her reasons. Surely, it is the legendary hero's duty to fix the world. Surely the goddess herself wouldn't just take pity upon the mortals she has brought such suffering to, and bless them once again with fields of green. Others are not so certain, losing faith in the gods and their ambivalence towards mortal suffering. To the faithful, however, those are treasonous thoughts - it was Ganondorf who cursed the gods, after all, and it was his fault for bringing about the world's suffering.
In a world torn by those clinging to remnants of faith, and those pitying the gods' scapegoats, where do you lay?
There are rumors that the long lost kingdom of Hyrule's bloodline has emerged. For some this brings hope for a new rule and a new era, and for some it only brings misery, a loss of freedom, subjugation. You have been hired by an interested party to find the surviving lineage of Hyrule's royalty. What will you do when you find them?
Inspired by Fromsoft games, particularly elements of Sekiro and Elden Ring.
You are a band of immortal heroes whose immortality comes with a curse. Every time you revive, another life is taken in your stead, and the seed of a strange blight is planted. However, your party has come this far, and as you continue to fight off the army of darkness threatening your world, you've discovered a potential cure to the plague you spread.
Scenes of your grand battles have become quarantined, forbidden lands. At least one major kingdom has banished you, despite your heroic deeds. You have grand powers and a boon from a powerful entity, yet it is offset by the threat of hurting others. How has immortality affected you? How has your immortal's plague affected you, and more importantly, the ones you love?
Roles sought: Players (Immortals: 1-2) (Zelda Fri: 1-3) (Zelda Sat: 1-3) Game style: RP Heavy, high fantasy, political intrigue
Gerudo King's Carnival a (loose) guild that supports the arts. the main troupe is the Gerudo King's Carnival, though the leader is known to support passing troupes. run by Achan, a massive, blind Gerudo transman. he is a talented magician and loves illusion magic despite not having sight since birth. he always dresses in fine silks and gorgeous jewelry - probably more than the leader of a troupe of performers should be able to afford. the troupe travels the desert, welcoming any who need a place to call home. notably, they house a few monsters in their troupe as well!
Chart Hounds a guild of mapmakers, rangers, and treasure hunters. many lone outlanders are employed by the guild to keep the dunes safe and rescue any unlucky souls that need it. others still are focused on exploration, mapping out the ever-changing desert and what may lay beneath the sand. the Head Hound is a Darknut, Zuza, who founded the Chart Hounds through love of exploring the world. she is quite old now, but she often regales when she first was brave enough to leave the Fortress and how she was enchanted by the beauty of the world.
The Crown's Truth a group of Sheikah that seek the truth behind the Royal Family's existence in the world. they sometimes hire Chart Hounds to help with expeditions, sometimes hire other skilled adventurers, and will always trade for intel. none know where their headquarters are other than the Sheikah themselves, though stones with the Sheikah mark have been seen in remote locations. one of the more prominent figures of the Crown's Truth is a man named Kenzo, though not the head of their organization, as they are a secretive group. Kenzo seems to be high in command and hands down orders from the elders, though he doesn't seem to take things as seriously as most of his fellow Sheikah do. he does, however, LOVE gossip.
The Crown's Guard not officially anybody's guard, especially since there is no crown. a guild of sellswords that can "keep the peace." some do, some prefer to lord their power over their towns. many begrudging towns pay the Crown's Guard to keep the peace. some more begrudging than others. the Captain is a Hylian with years of mercenary experience, Hawk Valore. they are cold and calculating, but eager to bring in fresh self-righteous blood.
Mongade the 'monster brigade', often shortened to Mongade. they're diplomats from the Forsaken Badlands who occasionally hire escorts, guards, and guides. more importantly, however, they visit towns and bring gifts, food, and news of the Forsaken lands. oftentimes when the Mongade is seen out and about, they just found an old treasure horde back home and want to share the bounty. there is no official leader of the Forsaken Badlands, but the leader of the Mongade is Mog, a Moblin with a sunshiney demeanor and a sense of duty and justice - to or for what, who knows. The Mongade does also make trips to the Forsaken Fortress, but they seem uneasy when speaking of it.
