SEEKING: Friendly (emphasis on that as I have had to deal with quite a suprising number of players who WEREN'T while DMing here) non-beginner, players, who are 18+, for a long term homebrew campaign. I'm seeking to find a group of five heavy roleplayers, so please do not reply if you are going to be a lurker sitting in the background. (I also ask that people take notes as we will begin each session with me asking somebody to recap what happened the previous one)
ABOUT ME: I’m relatively new to the whole DnD scene – Know the basics, Good at crafting worlds – Use a bit of homebrew rules, and will periodically experiment with tweaking rules and such to make the game flow better, hone my craft, if you will. If the changes aren’t working as I’d hoped, I will immediately revert back. (Will absolutely inform players before I do tweak anything however. Don’t want to surprise or confuse.)
STYLE: This game is going to be a homebrew medieval high seas campaign. A campaign that should have a level of fun and frivolity while also being dark and dangerous. (For resurrection, we will be using the homebrew rules created by Matt Mercer). I simply ask players to attempt to ruin the more intense moments with bad jokes xD
STORY CONCEPT: Group of nobodys set sail to seek an elusive treasure pirates scour the seas for. The treasure is rumored to be able to alter reality – an artifact able to grant the crew that finds it a single wish each.
CHARACTERS: Looking for Neutral Aligned Characters. (I also ask that we keep genders in this campaign simple – Male/Female, He/She – I have a difficult time keeping all this balanced in reality and thus don’t need the stress of trying to remember fictional characters genders) {Tho I have no objections to a guy playing a female/she fictional character.} This youtube clip should offer help with creating backstories if help is desired. https://youtu.be/vNA6iB6lO1w?si=we2H_ncnIQ_MF--k
REGULAR TIME: Normal meeting will be Wednesday Evenings (likely 5-8 or so). Flexibility is a bonus, as my schedule isn’t as consistent as I would like (thus being able to move to another day if that evening becomes unavailable would be great)
REQUIREMENTS: We will be using DnDbeyond for Character Sheets and Roll20 for our VTT, as well as Discord for our Mics.
{Note: Campaign will not be map heavy but I find a VTT is useful for combat scenarios. Thus, this will require the use of a computer, so I politely ask that you only respond if you have one that can handle it.)
DESIRE: Story is whacky and weird enough. Not looking for joke characters. Seeking the kinds of characters you would find in a typical fantasy world. Also, this is a good, clean, violent campaign. {So there will be no swearing or cussing allowed}.
RESPONSE: If you are interested, please respond here with: 1. Your discord name/number so I am able to reach you. 2. Your Age 3. How much experience you have at DnD 4. Any idea what type of race/class you'd like to play 5. Potential Character Ideas
POST NOTE: This is a "Long Term" campaign, so please only express interest if you plan on sticking around. I've had way too many people ditch me after only a couple months or as soon as there is a slight bump in the road... after I put a great many hours, and much in session time, working thier backstories into the world.
3. I've been dming and playing dnd since 2021 late to 2022
4. I like to play wizards or sorcerers who multi class into cleric or healing warlocks but mainly spell casters except bards or druids I have a few ready and I can tell you about them should you decide to reach out
3) I’ve played a few sessions so I've had a little bit of experience. But I do know all the basic rules and thoroughly enjoy roleplaying in dnd.
4) I’m fine with playing any class with whatever the party needs or if any roles need filing. The races that I would like to play but I could play something else if needed are, teifling, human and elf
5) I have a few basic ideas for some characters one of them being a swashbuckler human rouge, an elf beast master ranger who has an exotic bird as a companion.
1. Chickena 2. 52 3. Several years playing and DM'ing 4. Race = ? (prob half elf) / Class = Monk - May multiclass with swashbuckler rogue if it makes sense in game. 5. An ex-circus performer - my act was knife thrower. When in a tavern will challenge people to try and throw knife at me and will use deflect missel to catch or dodge the throw. Also, on the run from some powerful underworld lord for something ??? and will join with the crew of the boat to hid out/lay low for a while in hopes it will blow over by time get back. I would carry a lot of knives all named and I have been known to talk to them when sharpening them or using them

Class either a Barbarian, Wizard, or Ranger and for the races Tortle, Goblin, or anything not from base races 5. I have a few ideas really depends on the the Class I pick like, My character going out to sea to look for there lost child that was kidnapped
valdimaarhranissonryan is discord . If that doesn't work message me here as discord has been hot or iss lately for me
Im almost 50 and have been playing on and off since 2nd edition (back in the days of THAC0). Usually I got for odd characters (not jokey just not the standard humans bard, elf ranger, dwarf fighter, etc). If you allow some leeway for race and such im thinking Lizardfolk Ranger Swarmmaster subclass ......kind of New Olreans riverboat gambler meets a Swamp voodoo man. If that doesn't work o can usually find a niche to fill. Wednesdays works for me (or most any weekday except occasionally Monday or Friday) as I work as a merchant at Medieval Faires and am working weekends (and occasionally set up or break down on Monday or Friday.
But otherwise, I am very active, you can contact me on D&D Beyond, my character is a half-dragon and a ranger. (I'll make a homebrew version of my character.)
Edit: okay, my homebrew character is Flame Morpho, a feathered dragon who loves to roam and play.

This is almost perfect for me, with a two ouches:
1. I don't have discord.
2. I'm a kid, 15.
