Over two-hundred years ago, a group known as "The Finishers" were interred within magical stasis chambers in their hidden tomb beneath the castle. These heroes knew their task; To sacrifice their linear existence to protect their country. Should the Queen's people ever be under great threat, her descendants would awaken them.
In this campaign, the Player Characters are a group of heroes that awaken from stasis every-so-often to save the land from threats, and thus have a great impact on that land's history and culture. They will be viewed as increasingly legendary figures, while having to struggle with the inner turmoil of only seeing snapshots of history at its most dire.
After every adventure, the PCs return to stasis, awakening later to discover the ripple effects of their actions. Unless, of course, the plan changes.
This is a weird one, folks. Strap in.

The Story So Far
After freeing Red Vale from a corrupting presence, thwarting a corrupt regent and banishing a creature from The Depths below, our heroes awake (At Level 4) to find that people are going missing in the river-city of Talimus.
But they are awakened not by the crown, but by a strange amateur gladiator whose brother is missing.
Is this truly a simply rescue mission, or is something darker at work here..?
Thank you! It has certainly been interesting so far. The players missed a small side-quest at level 1, and now (at level 5) the players find that the villains of that small side-quest have taken over the village of Thalmos Bridge!
(Oh, and the druid accidentally created a rumor that the palace guard are afraid of vegetables).
