LFP x6 for my first time DMing, homebrew (5e 2014 rules) campaign. I have 2-ish years of player experience under my belt and I wanted to try DMing for the first time. I am only available Saturday or Sunday evenings CST and this is a free to enter campaign. May try twitch streaming under group consensus, but not show faces. Offer ends May 18th. Link to campaign \/.
Standard array or roll, up to you. Limitations on subclasses is here \/. Were starting at level three, all races are open, but no two + species in a trench coat. This follows the 2014 rule book as well.
Artificer - Alchemist
Barbarian - any, specific totem, beast, or world tree
If all goes well, Session 0 will be May 18th because of a graduation party on may 17th, session 1 will be May 24th. As for the restrictions, it's a nature based campaign, themed around Missouri's botanical garden foundation/locations, so I thought it be appropriate to make the subclasses fit the campaign.
If I share Master account content access with the campaign (I have all content including 2024 content) would you be willing to allow 2024 content? I am itching to play it with my fiance in the group.
I also have a master account with the 2024 5.5e books. I'll at least allow the character class and races but not rules. Here is the discord link as well: https://discord.gg/JYsfmKMk
Does that include spells, class features, ect? Because we are excited about the reworking of things like backgrounds, spells like "true strike" and "shillelagh", etc for better character variety and fluidity.
I didn't really delve deep into what has changed, except seeing that they got some improvements or rewordings, so as long as you aren't giving your character(s) straight 20's in all stats and follow the spell descriptions, then there should be no reason for me to worry.

Anything rules to note for character creations? PB, SA, rolling? Limitations on subclasses or the like?

Would love to join the game if you would have me. And how about homebrew??
Sorry I fell asleep before I saw your message. What do you mean by homebrew, homebrew race?
Hey I'd be interested. What date do you think the sessions will start? May I know the lore behind the restricted subclasses? Thank you :D
I'm also interested would these be in person or virtual?
yes sorry for not clarifying home brew races and maybe spells?
No homebrew spells, but will take homebrew races.
Virtual.
