I am Holger from Estonia and a few days ago we got our platform mostly ready for Europe-wide use. We have built a tool called Groupfinder which does exactly what the name implies. It helps players connect with other players or groups.
Groupfinder was born from the age-old problem of not being able to find other players. So we got to work, trying to create something that would help us and others. And now, a few years later we are ready to launch it beyond Estonian borders.
Groupfinder will allow players to post their player-profiles, indicating what systems they are looking to play and tell a bit about themselves and their preferences. And groups that are looking for missing players will be able to do the same, explain their game, system, preferences and themes. Groups can mark down how many players they have, and how many are vacant. Do they have a DM with them or that spot also needs to be filled. Once a player (or group) finds a suitable post they can contact them via app and either talk 1:1 or start a group conversation and face the age-old problem of scheduling. But we are working on a tool to help alleviate that aspect as well (but that is still in progress).
We have built the platform initially for any and all ttrpg players. But will soon be incorporating wargaming and boardgames as well. Groupfinder is and will always be free to use. If you have any questions, do let me know. (also, we are looking for people that would like to help us translate the plaform to other European languages - contact me if you want to help us with that)
